It’s not clear in the article, nor logically, whether those death threats mostly came from the left. Right wingers tend to be a lot more willing to death threat (though we do have crazies on the left) and there have been accusations that the governor was trying to politically damage Trump and is a left wing plant.
I definitely agree that death threats are fucking awful regardless of who they’re aimed at and by.

I would say that the pipeline of left to right is through communism, not PETA, although my wife’s vegan cousin has become explicitly pro-hamas in the last 6 months, so you may have a point.
