I thought the first two episodes would be available today but it looks like it’s just the first episode. New episodes will be added weekly

      I enjoyed it, but so far it’s no comparison to SAC. Felt a little off-balance.

      It was very fast paced, especially compared to Stand Alone Complex anime(s).

      A lot of the characters talk a big game, then make minor mistakes, and it feels odd. There wasn’t too much that felt like they were being outsmarted by a clever enemy, they just kinda fucked up. And then the mistakes ended up not mattering at all? It messes with the characterization I’m used to seeing for these characters, and it felt odd to have the mistakes not really have any impact on anything either.

      While I enjoy the animation style, it was weird to see the *-koma tanks animated like little creatures first and robot spiders second rather than “little metal spiders primarily, who are secondarily little creatures”.

      Overall, it feels like they’re going for more action/comedy than heady cyberpunk sci-fi show. Still good and fun, just not quite what I expected.

      And it’s literally just the first 25 minute episode. Who knows where it’ll go from here.

        I’d always pictured the fuchis as hulking tanks that somehow manage to be nimble. Not nearly as cute.

        I totally agree. It’s more action/comedy than I expect from GitS but it’s also more accurate to the manga so I can’t really be mad about that.

      It’s been 30 years since I read the manga, but this hits most of the points I remember from the first comic or two. They even use that rainbow texture thing that was in the colour section of the comics.

      I distinctly remember Kusanagi jacking into the minister and making him punch himself in the face.

      From there, good is subjective. But it seems faithful.

      It’s just rehashing the original 5 mins of the movie and at that poorly … I really want to start screaming about individuals who are there who aren’t in the movie but maybe that’s just too much of a spoiler… Because it doesn’t make any sense later if it is?!..

    I loved it, but yeah it’s throwing major Dominion Tank Police vibes a lot harder than it is Ghost in the Shell.

    Also -1 for no Fuchikomatic Days after the credits.

      It seems on point for stuff by Masamune Shirow. It has the same vibe as Tank Police. This feels pretty similar, if less horny.
