Seriously, the US is just embarrassment upon embarrassment upon embarrassment these days.
I hope Biden will take this opportunity as the new king and show Republicans that this is a two-way street.
I think Biden has done a very good job, but I’d be more excited to vote for Gretchen Whitmer or Gavin Newsom or Josh Shapiro.
There’s probably no difference. People made up their minds on Biden vs Trump a long time ago and nobody’s budging. Debate is not going to make any difference either.
The Republican Party has been mired in scandal for years but has lost no support. People are in their trenches.
The dude didn’t say a word for decades. Now he has a loud opinion about literally everything. I wonder what he’s thinking about my new tube socks or the lunch I had two days ago. I’m sure he’ll let me know.
Trump is the insane one.
That shows “President Joe Biden has lost no immediate ground to Trump,” per Morning Consult’s findings.
The vast majority of voters made up their minds long ago. The Republican Party has been in disarray for several year without losing significant support. This debate with not be much different for the Democrats. People aren’t budging.
There may be a few moderates and independents who could still move, but there’s plenty of awfulness to turn off independents on the Republican side as well.
Unfortunately, it looks like there’s great risk of another four years of orange joy.
Trump and the Republicans extended the pandemic in the US and made it far worse with their policies that turned many of their voters into anti-vaxx and anti-mask lunatics.
Yeah, but Biden has bad debating skills, so we’re all going to vote for Trump now so he can overturn this, right?
We’ll see. With the way things are going, I highly doubt any of them will leave voluntarily before 90.
Probably looking at 20 years or so. Or more than a lifetime for some. Pretty depressing.
Sure, Trump will take down the military industrial complex…
I highly doubt that a knife or pipe bomb could have killed 60 and wounded more than 400 from a Vegas hotel room. Guns are the most effective tool people use to kill other people and it’s designed for just that.
That being said, yes, economic inequality is absolutely an important cause of much crime and desperation in the US. But half of the population also won’t do anything about that, because less inequality is “socialism” or whatever. And round and round we go.
I vote for policy, not a person. I have zero in common with Trump and the Republican Party, so I’ll be out there voting for the Democratic policy platform every time.
widespread panic among Democrats about how the night played out.
The Republicans have been in “widespread panic” and in various states of chaos over the past couple of years over lots of issues, and it has made no difference in voter support whatsoever.
This “panic” among Democratic pundits will make no difference in voter support either.
I’m going to vote for policy, not a person. I don’t agree with Trump on anything, so I’ll vote for Biden.
Biden or Trump?
So, does this mean we’ll have an even larger conservative SCOTUS majority?
It would be great if the US could join reality with the rest of the developed world at some point. FFS, America. You’re not doing well.
