She’s the only person in the country for people who support Palestine to donate their money to," Wayne County Commissioner and 13th District Democratic Party Chair Jonathan Kinloch tells Axios. “We don’t have that kind of money in Detroit.”

    Wish there were more options…

Biden is really shooting himself in the foot, Michigan isn’t the only state that feels this way, and most of them are ones Biden has to win to beat trump.

There’s no reason for Dems to be running someone so unwavering in their support of a literally genocidal government

It’s a bad situation for him, would he rather lose the support of American Arabs or American Jews? Throwing Israel under the bus would send a message to all of our allies that America will abandon them when it is politically expedient.

So supporters of Palestine have to vote Biden anyways because trump is worse.

But supporters of Israel need Biden to support a genocide or he’ll lose their vote?

Ever notice how it always works like that where neoliberal politicians are “forced” to move to the right but progressives get nothing?

That shits tired. No one believes it anymore.

Politicians like Biden want to move to the right. And take any opportunity to do so.

That’s not even getting I to how Jewish Americans do t always support Israels immoral acts just because they’re Jewish

But supporters of Israel need Biden to support a genocide or he’ll lose their vote?

Most supporters of Israel and Jews certainly don’t see it that way. If Israel chooses legal military targets and the civilian deaths are collateral damage it’s not a genocide, but I don’t feel like debating this for the 1000th time. (Repeating the claim like a mantra doesn’t make it so.)

Ever notice how it always works like that where neoliberal politicians are “forced” to move to the right but progressives get nothing?

Neoliberal politicians are usually already on the right, Biden is not a neoliberal.

Politicians like Biden want to move to the right. And take any opportunity to do so.

Biden is moving the Overton window left and has been supporting labor more than any president in my lifetime. The resurgence of union power is directly due to his appointments at the NLRB.

If Israel chooses legal military targets and the civilian deaths are collateral damage it’s not a genocide,

And if I had a billion dollars, I’d be a billionaire.

            But I don’t, so I’m not.

Why are we talking about hypotheticals instead of reality?

And can you stick to only one false claim a comment? I’m not going to take the time to disprove every wrong tangent you go off on

When people do that intentionally, it’s known as a “gish gallop” which is an old Russian propaganda strategy

            https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gish_gallop

You’re already denying a genocide, that kind and of trumps every other wrong thing you’re saying right now. Me ignoring your other claims doesn’t mean I’m accepting them either.

Like if a nazi ran up and said LGBT people needed to die and pineapples shouldn’t be on pizza, my priority isn’t gonna be defending pineapples.

So you are the arbiter of truth regarding Israel, anonymous stranger? Wow, who appointed you to that position?

Yeah sorry not going to debate this with you, have a nice day spreading anti-Israel propaganda.

Acknowledging a genocide is “spreading anti-Israel propaganda”?

Acknowledging a genocide is “spreading anti-Israel propaganda”?

Spoken as though there is consensus that it is a genocide, or that Israel’s actions have been legally found to be a genocide, neither is true. More info can be found here about the basis of such accusations.

Good day, I hope Hamas gives you a gold star for your efforts.

“If Israel chooses legal military targets and the civilian deaths are collateral damage…”

We already know Israel is not choosing legitimate military targets and the civilian deaths are NOT collateral damage.

            Follow the evidence trail:

            Start here:

            https://www.npr.org/2023/11/17/1213579692/israel-gaza-evacuation-south-attacks

“Amid its military offensive on Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has repeatedly dropped leaflets and sent messages telling residents they must leave their homes and “evacuate” to areas it claims are safer, which are south of the Wadi Gaza wetlands.”

            Then go here:

            https://www.npr.org/2023/11/17/1213579692/israel-gaza-evacuation-south-attacks

“Israeli bombardment has killed thousands of civilians in the areas of the Gaza Strip that Israel has ordered them to move to, Gaza health ministry death tolls show. Witnesses’ accounts, satellite data and expert assessment gathered by NPR show that Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire occur daily in the areas Israel has said are “safer” for civilians, and have hit schools, residential towers and overcrowded United Nations refugee shelters.”

I made it super easy for you… it’s the same link. ;)

Does it matter? I’m totally fine with a politician listening to people and adjusting their views accordingly. Actually, I’d be happier with Biden if that was the case.

Yes? If we attribute to Biden what is not a matter of Biden’s actions, we ignore the true source.

Personally I prefer to know how things work and not just trust in higher authorities to just instinctively do what’s best for me.

Plenty of American Jews have stated they support Palestine. Didn’t one of the founding members of AIPAC even state that what Isreal was doing kind of sketch?

Seems less American Jews and more Israeli lobbying.

Political expediency? Israel are the ones throwing Americans under the bus and not the other way around. It would be a golden beacon to the world that America still cares about human rights to defund Israel.

The thing about giving her “more than she needs” is that she can then use it to fund other people who agree with her downticket or in other districts.

People like the Clintons and Kevin McCarthy got a lot of power in their parties by having a ton of cash to help out other candidates.
