Fewer and fewer Germans believe that Ukraine can still win the war against Russia, the publication writes, citing a study conducted by the Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research commissioned by the private consulting firm Center for Strategy and Higher Leadership.

According to the survey, at the beginning of 2024, only every tenth German expected a victory for Ukraine. Last year there were 16% of these.

It is noted that “about a third of respondents expect that the Russian army will ultimately achieve success.
