Although in fairness, it wasn’t written into law until 1998. Seems pretty pointless since using the flag in any way is protected free speech. Maybe being unenforceable is meant to protect it from 1st Amendment challenge?
After those nice photos from the White House I was sure the US goverment had abolished the flag code as woke already.
It was never enforced, because if it was, MANY people would have been prosecuted a longtime ago.
