If using the command line to burn disk images makes you nervous, ISO Image Writer is your friend!

Likewise, creating and modifying partitions can be scary, so why not use KDE’s friendly Partition Manager?

Ha, I use all of those except ISO image writer, which seems like a great option. But I am just curious, what does adoptable app mean? Is it some standard for being adopted into distributions?

Edit: I am stupid, just got the context of fundraising now 🤦‍♂️. Will pull out wallet for my regular donation…

@redbr64@lemmy.world so funny seeing stuff like this where everyone’s just “what the hell is that? oh, you’re fundraising lemme get my wallet.” anyway where’s my wallet?

well, when you hear from the ones you usually would donate to it’s just a needed nudge/reminder haha. For me that’s KDE, Internet Archive, Wikipedia and my local NPR station (national public radio in the US)

@redbr64@lemmy.world yeah, I did my KDE donation just a minute ago ($32.96, bc the default was 30 Euros)

SkanPage will help you connect to your scanner and you’ll be scanning all your important documents quickly and easily in no time.

And to keep an eye on what’s going on on your machine, don’t miss Plasma’s System Monitor. Personalize pages with sensors and keep an eye on what’s important to you.

Dumb question, what’s an “adoptable app”?

If you donate €50 or more to our fundraiser, you get to put your name down as “adopting” (i.e. supporting) an app you can choose from the list on the fundraiser landing page. Your name (or nickname, or social media handle, or whatever you choose) will stay on the app’s apps.kde.org until KDE Gear 25.04 is released in April next year.
