French elections: Left wins most seats, ahead of Macron's coalition and far right

According to final results, the Nouveau Front Populaire left-wing alliance won 182 seats in France's Assemblée Nationale, ahead of Macron's coalition (168) and the far-right Rassemblement National (143).

as a foreigner living in France, i was very concerned with the prospect of the RN gaining control of parliament. This is good news indeed.
