“The fricking place is falling down,” Trump, 78, grumbled as he braced himself.

Looks like the lectern’s on wheels that weren’t locked down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N040YRBq05w

I’d prefer he be in maximum security solitary confinement, or have the decency to keel over from one too many cheeseburgers, but this doesn’t actually look too bad. Goofy. He immediately blames his people, etc. but no he doesn’t fall over or anything.

It’s a problem he could easily solve himself by stepping on the brake. If he can’t figure that out, why would anyone want him to run a country?

I was really hoping to see him almost fall over, but that was really a nothing. I hate him too, but stooping to exaggerations like this is kind of pathetic.

I can’t agree more. I watched the video and not only did he not topple over due to his own movements, he made very witty comments and played to the crowd in the moment.

Honestly, I would be scared to show that clip of my opponent having a human moment.

    Hahaha

Article quote is wrong, needs to be updated…

“it keeps tilting further left…”, good joke on the fly.

    Funny nontheless.

Ugh. I hate it when geriatric populist fascists accidentally stumble into a halfway decent joke.

“I notice it keeps tilting to the left,” Trump joked, “Like too many other things!”

I guess he is an “entertainer,” so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that his jokes are better than his platform. Double entendre definitely intended.

Of course, to everyone watching—at least, to everyone watching who isn’t behind Trump—it’s pretty clear that everything is actually tilting to the right, and becoming a whole lot more unstable.

I don’t believe this is ad-libbed. I think this was planned. It looks just like some of Ronald Reagan’s clever quips.
