Yeah, I’m sorry. To continue this conversation would be unfair to you.

Because one is orange and the other isn’t?
And no, they are not equally corrupt. But thank you for the self-report

You’re right, @lemmywinks@discuss.online insists Trump is better
Except that the voting uncommitted has actually worked to move Biden on the issue (Dems calling for an election in Israel).
Last update will spam the user to upgrade their computer. If they could brick it and get away with it they would.

This is a thought terminating cliche.
Just what I’ve been looking for, it supports offline playing!
Proprietary software makers: our software is more secure than open source because the public can’t go looking for bugs to exploit.

Fantastic read, shared at work and now following on mastodon. Also had this thought in regards to my own work:
… I find it reflects a similar problem we’re having with our code base: “simple is not always easy”. This article points out that Generative AI does what is easy/cheap, when what we really need is simplicity (or simplified complexity)
There’s probably another article to write about this, I would title it: “Generative AI won’t solve your Cynefin domain problem”
And now we accelerate the process with generative AI, resampling data into “new” content for profit. But I can’t shake the feeling this will be an undoing, like it somehow devalues the collated data becauce it becomes so abundant (and synthetic).
I think Lincoln had the right idea, send in the troops and dare the other side to flinch. You telling me we can’t airdrop amphibious vehicles to secure the river?
Guy is probably getting scared of his board members and is wanting to secure himself from being outed. There’s a reason why we are now hearing about his drug problem, and those stories are likely coming from his board members.
Speaking of which… Don’t you just love how changing the volume on your phone causes the audio indicator to overlap the button that let’s you skip ads?
I don’t always click on a YouTube ad, but when I do it’s a UI failure because it’s an accidental click. How much do you want to bet this crackdown is a distraction from the fact their ad system doesn’t perform as well as advertised?
It’s like oil dependency, we could blame the individual but that really doesn’t help the situation. Unless of course we’re talking about individual executives, those bastards are totally culpable.
My pixel phone had a wave of salt water from the ocean get into the USB-C port. The phone detected the moisture and disabled the port until it was clean and dry. The port still works.
Doubt you’ll find something on this site: https://www.mutualaidhub.org/
Locally for me it has been getting involved in the local community: maker space (we made masks during COVID), bicycle group, and a very radical church with a community pantry. But it sounds like those things might not be available where you are, so it might instead be getting involved in a foraging group or other local activities that make sense. Sharing local knowledge outside the Internet is a good habit in case if shit goes south.
And you still aren’t. How brave. Are you by any chance a fan of Tim Pool?
