Probably something based on 1/6 th of a byte that originates form old IBM systems that used 6 bits per byte that was then later never changed into 8 bit systems so you now have to convert between 6 bit and 8 bit systems and then fractions, gotta get those good fractions. So they’d say something like my SSD is 170⅔ GB for a 128GB drive
Didn’t they say the same when they were developing windows 10? I don’t believe it’s gonna happen.
Thanks. I do know tho, but im slightly dyslexic and English is not my first language so it’s hard for me to catch my own mistakes, while I can easily see it when others are making it. Also autocorrect is a blessing and a curse for me sometimes.
What i find most stupid about all of this is that Air Canada could just have admitted a mistake, payed The refund of ~450 USD which is basically nothing to them. It would have waisted no one’s time and made good customer service and positive feedback. Then quietly fix the AI in the background and move on. Instead they now spend waaayy more money on legale fees, expensive lawyers, employees sallery, have a disabled AI, customer backlash and bad press all costing them many hundreds of thousands of dollars. So stupid.
I understand and its also the reason i now run Debian. I want stable, but to me, stable does not mean old. New can be more stable and also be better in many ways and kde seems to do a fantastic job. To me stable should mean the newest we got that is running without issues for everyone. So if new does not have any issues for anyone and runs smoothly it should get adopted asap so everyone can enjoy it and it becoms the new stable.
I run Debian (cries in late updates)
Welcome. I hope you’ll have a great time here
This is mandatory to be posted every year for Christmas. Always makes me smile and sing along
Antennapod is what I use now. Works just as well as Google podcasts.
Google is making easier and easier for me to degoogle my life. Bit by bit I change to foss apps and never look back
Good. That’ll be the day I finally update to windows 11 Linux
It’s sadly not perfect as @Mananasi@feddit.nl also states, and since I like maths related stuff too and science it’ll likely filter out too much stuff. But I appreciate your efforts. An ai algorithm or a community created blacklist is probably the only solution.
I have been wondering how I could do the same for X (formerly known as twitter). I’m tired of reading about it every day. I don’t know how to filter it out since it’s just one letter and it’ll filter out everything just containing an X in a word
I guess it’s time to just move on with your life if it comes to this
Most ads are for products in another country so even if I hypothetically wanted it I can’t get it so why waste my time on it. And if they are multinational companies I usually don’t want anything to do with it. I also just don’t want to be advertised to. It’s wasting my time because 99.99% of the time it’s irrelevant to me.
Also wanna add:
It’s more like this: it feels like you are both the detective, the victim and the murdere
Syntax error: ? is not a valid operator
