Migrating here (or maybe keeping both) from @ArcaneSlime@lemmy.ml
Will put an eternal curse on your enemies for a Cinemageddon invite.

Tbf if many here heard his album Fuck 'em they’d want to cancel him too lol. I Love My Right Hand is one of the most tame songs on it, There’s No One I Hate is a wild one.
Pretty funny album though, if you can get past that sort of thing.
Same, sort of. For me it varies, some is supposed to be a status symbol and that I find lame.
But some are signals about a person; Bass Pro, fisherman; Backwoods, down to smoke; Burton, snowboarder; Venture, skateboarder; etc. These I see more as a band shirt, like “hey I like that thing/band too, wanna hang out?” These I actually like, they can be informative.
And some are just free shirts from work itself, vendors to your work, events, etc. Maybe they just got off and are still in “uniform” (if you can call a company t-shirt a uniform lmao), maybe their job sells a lot of Kawasaki and they sent shirts to the dealership they work at, this falls more into the informative category and indicate possible hobbies. Same with the event shirts, it’s more about a memory of the event, it indicates possible hobbies like running or biking, and hell a free shirt is a free shirt.
Hell even the status symbol shirts, I guess do the same thing in signaling something about a person, but imo it signals that
you’re vacuous and live your life for the image you have for others instead of focusing on yourself.
All that aside, just based on looks alone, way better flag. The other flag of the emperor with the chrysanthemum is cool too, but I’m sure that one is seen similarly.
SO CAN WE NOW ADMIT SELLING DATA IS BAD?
That is odd, aaand now I have to do a deep dive on the Angolan civil war, great. Lol
The old one was better!
Mozambique for sure, I’m not from there, never been there, don’t even really want to go, idt I’ve even met someone from there, but that flag with the AK goes so hard I want it on a shirt.
I mostly agree with this, but apparently Leto is a giant worm was raping or assaulting people or something. While I do think “cancel culture” or whatever is dumb and believe separating art from the artists is an ok thing to do as a consumer, blacklisting someone from the industry for rape/SA is just about the only time I’m in full agreeance with “canceling.” Can’t be having that type of shit, idec if a Trump supporting actor gets work tbh but assault is a step too far. Liking things he was in prior is one thing, continuing to make workplaces unsafe by employing him is another.
As for consumers, I think they should be free to watch what they want and boycott what they want with impunity and no judgement (besides maybe taste lol), especially if they pirate. Still liking a thing you grew up loving even after something shady comes out does not mean you support the shady thing, especially if you’re not literally supporting them monetarily.
(I also fucking hate Thirty Suckents to Mars and he should be punished for making bad music.)
TC afaik isn’t dangerous in the same sense, he’s just a face of a cult. Miscavige is the really dangerous one there and he should probably be shot, but TC just makes cheesy movies and has sex with fish. As such I don’t think there’d be a problem employing him the same as it is for Leto, but also I’m personally not watching his garbage, whether you do or not should be left to you (and I won’t judge, other than maybe your taste in movies! Lol)
Ctrl+f “Mark”
Cool, it’s already here. Me too.
He beats up Asian people for fun you know.
Ehhhh no.
I can get behind “ban spying on me.”
I can even get behind “ban social media, especially the kind that makes you sell yourself, though pseudononymous link aggregators are less the issue.”
But “no more torrenting at work, no more reading digitally while pooping, no more encrypted chats, now have to carry a book, a camera, an mp3 player, my GBC, and a dumb phone, just to make up for the phone?”
No.
If they added yandex they can be GAYFAM.
You shouldn’t. Support your instance or something idk.

Well technically, mushrooms are illegal (not that they should be), and I bet that technically counts as falsifying police reports or some similar charge, and even if mushrooms were legal this is technically “public intoxication,” so like, they were committing some crime, but yeah.
I’ve been meaning to ask, what is HDR, why do I need it, and (new question) what do lice eggs have to do with it?
Tbf this would be the same on windows (well, if there was a fix other than reinstall…), unless you just already know the fix, which then would be the same on linux, you just don’t know it yet.
Besides, since windows only fix would be to reinstall, no second pc needed, just keep the installation drive and treat it like a windows reinstall, bam same same.
They’re basically just poo-pooing the ideas of privacy and security, no more than “the government and corporations need access to everything you do because someone somewhere is doing bad things.”
It’s the same idea as “encryption bad because terrorists,” and “gun company bad because murders,” some people blame the people doing the bad thing, and some people blame the tool used or who created it.
If you’re looking to have an argument about regulations, I believe you’ll find I’m a poor choice. I support more relaxed regulations on the guns themselves than you likely do, much less regulating things that can be used to make guns. Suppressors should be seen as safety equipment rather than locked behind an antiquated tax, SBR/SBS should be removed from that same tax system not because of safety but simply because the NFA was bad and pointless from the start, people between the age of 18 and 21 still deserve their rights (OR we need to raise the age of legal adulthood to 21, including military service and trying people as an adult, but the mix-matched mess is nonsense), there’s more but that’s enough controversial opinions on regulation to make my point:
Tl;dr I don’t support regulation of much, including any of that stuff you said. Fact still remains that printing a chairmanwon g19 is very, very possible. I won’t even bring up how much easier it is than learning how to use a lathe nor how much cheaper it is to buy an ender3 than a CNC mill.
Yeah they suck so much at hockey they’ve won the championship 32yr in a row!
Wait…
