Dude honestly I cannot recommend this enough, and to all who are in a similar position:

While you still have your main system as a fallback, get a used cheap laptop with ~8gb ram just to fuck around and try linux, install [your distro] FedoraKDE, and play around.

If a relative or friend is upgrading and gonna trash their current because the HW is choked by windows, ask to buy it for a reasonable price, cheap to you because old trash HW anyway, but a couple bucks to help them with their new purchase, win win. That HW that will no longer run windows will run linux just fine, and then you can main the laptop for a bit while you learn but still can boot into your old system to troubleshoot and also don’t have to fuck with dual booting and windows fucking with your linux or boot partitions.

Well Rare Replay includes a few games in it that imo are fucking classics like Conker (but the best version is Live and Reloaded), Ghoulies, Battletoads, Banjo, Viva Pinata, but most of those are available on pc by other methods afaik, just not bundled with “Rare Replay” (which means Conker is better emulated on the xbox OG, because bot battles Squirrel v Bear.)

A system of organization would be invented. Idk maybe a wooden stepped board with USB sized holes that you store/display your collection in, just to use the first idea I pull directly from ass. Tbh I don’t even mind cameras that much if they were entirely controlled by the individuals themselves. I have a much bigger issue with it when you’re streaming my facial recognition data to Evil Megacorp 2™ servers that also feed directly to the “Not Spying… Again” agency, though.

How do you customize it yourself? Every time I try to find info online I just find “use themes,” but I’m not looking for whole themes, I want to kinda sorta slowly theme it myself like “oh I want this to be that color” and stuff, I just don’t know what .conf files or whatever I need to edit.
