PieFed has a separate field for hashtags. They do not go in the body.

Yes, but #uidai ought to show up in blue, and when I click on it, it ought to land me up on https://hear-me.social/tags/uidai

Sorry, i’m not sure to understand. That’s the expexted behaviour ?

Let’s take this post on a video game called airborne empire :

Below there are several hashtags in blue color, and flairs in various color.

        Explaination on hashtags

Hashtags are blue and work accross the fediverse.

When you click on airborne empire you will find all content in the fediverse related to airborne empire.

        https://tarte.nuage-libre.fr/tag/airborne empire

It doesn’t matter who created it, you can find all content with this tags except those from mastodon.

Same for the tag strategy :
        https://tarte.nuage-libre.fr/tag/stratégie

How it works ? User must add hashtags to their posts. If they don’t tag them, we can’t find similar content. As for now you are the only one who used the tag #uidai, that’s the only post found.

        Explaination on flairs

The colored tag are called flair and only work within your community.

        Example with gestion :

        https://tarte.nuage-libre.fr/c/jeuxvideo@jlai.lu?flair=Gestion

If you want to create flairs, you must go to community settings, then click on flairs tab. Then chose their color and text :)

It looks like only the users are clickable links, but not the actual hashtag.

The hashtag only work on mbin and piefed for now. It’s a very cool feature. :)

In order to use hashtags on piefed, you need to create a post and use the hashtag field :)
