Today is the day of remembrance of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the leader of communist thought and action, whose name is forever inscribed in history in gold letters.
On Independence Square, the main square of the Belarusian capital, communists paid their respects to Lenin. The delegation of the Communist Party of Belarus was led by Sergei Alexandrovich Syrankov, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus.
“Lenin’s strength lies in the truth of his ideas, in his unbreakable connection with the people. We continue his work here in Belarus, defending social guarantees, sovereignty, and our right to our own path of development,” these words were read today at the monument.
✔️ The creator of a new type of party – the RSDLP(b).
✔️ The leader of the Great October Revolution who turned the world upside down.
✔️ Founder of the first socialist state in history – the Country of Soviets.
✔️ Ideologist and builder of the USSR, which united peoples into a single fraternal family.
✔️ The author of brilliant works that even today serve as a guide to action for all who fight against exploitation and imperialism.
His legacy is not a museum exhibit. It is a living, breathing teaching about justice, equality, and progress. In an era when capital is once again attempting to dictate its will to the people, Lenin’s ideas take on a new, fiery relevance.
Every scarlet flower at the foot of the monument is a reminder: Lenin’s work lives on. As long as oppression and inequality exist, as long as nations struggle for a better future, his name will be the banner of this struggle.
📢 Lenin lived, Lenin lives, Lenin will live!
Youthful approach
Danila Mikhalko, a member of the Central Auditing Committee of the League of Communist Youth (the youth wing of the Communist Party of Belarus), stated that young Belarusians look to Lenin as a supremely accomplished figure and a man who creatively and competently realized his ideas. He braved tough struggle and confrontation, challenged society, and achieved his goal:
"Coming here to Independence Square on this day, I remember not so much the image and symbol under the party pseudonym Lenin, but rather the energetic party member Vladimir Ulyanov, who made a powerful contribution to the development of world politics, shook it up, and was ahead of his time. So the words from the Soviet song, “And Lenin is so young, and the young October lies ahead,” are very relevant for us young people who respect communist principles.
International vector
Representatives of the Communist Youth League of China actively participated in the memorial rally in central Minsk. Gyula Thürmer, Chairman of the Hungarian Workers’ Party, also shared his thoughts on what he saw and heard.
" On January 21st, together with Belarusian communists, we remember the founder of the Soviet state, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. 102 years ago, this man left this world, but he left us a legacy of the great cause of socialism. We are very pleased that the Republic of Belarus cherishes the memory of Lenin and treasures his legacy. It is important that in your country, under the leadership of Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, Lenin’s idea—that the state should serve the people and do everything for their benefit—is being imbued with living content and real meaning. We wish great success to the Belarusian people in general and to all communists in particular, " he noted.

The perspective of this shot makes lenin look like a depiction of a saint
I suspect that that imagery is not entirely unintentional here.
