Way too late to be writing these kinds of articles in November 2025. The writing was already on the wall for the German chemical industry in December 2022. There have been warnings about this from industry insiders and competent analysts for years now.
I’d argue the problems go quite a bit further back, but the war acted as a catalyst dramatically accelerating all the underlying trends.
