    I think the strategy that Russia and China should pursue is to pull individual countries away from the EU. For example, they can encourage countries to join BRICS and become integrated into that system. This way you don’t have to deal with the power of the bloc as a whole, and it would also undermine the power of EU in the process.

      Exactly this. Even the Stupidity Belt countries have potential. Poland refused USA few times when they ordered to worsen relations with China. Lithuania tried to do the same, but US have stronger grip on them so it didn’t happened, but it went public.

        Resisting economic integration with the east is a losing bet in the long run. Back when the US was the dominant global economy, this situation could work. Today, BRICS is already a bigger bloc and the disparity will only grow. Countries that choose to ignore this will only see their situation get worse relative to those that take advantage of it.
