Most of the newer CPU’s have an NPU already, Microsoft just set a higher performance requirement for NPUs to be officially labeled an “AI PC” which they are pushing hard.

I feel personally attacked by this post!
It could be Wayland issues with Nvidia, I use three higher res monitors, but only 60Hz in X11.
PopOS has been running games fine on my 3070 for many years at this point. It might be worth another try.

LG have started sending some bullshit major updates to both of my TVs recently. The whole “home” interface is now sluggish and full of video heavy garbage I don’t want to see. They are still better than some smart platforms (looking at you Vizio, Samsung, and Roku), but I am far less pleased with them than I used to be.
I’ve owned multiple Sceptres and the only thing that ever broke for me was button related (on both the remotes and TV itself). You’d think buttons would be a solved problem, but I’ve owned three of those TVs because of the price (SmartTVs were not universal then).
That all being said, the displays themselves are mediocre and the speakers are weak and poor quality. The quality is probably right in line with the price, but if you’re coming from a higher end TV, it will be noticeable. I always had to use speakers or a soundbar to get acceptable quality sound, the display you get used to pretty quickly.
Assuming Sceptre still makes dumb TVs by then, I’ll probably switch back to them when mine either die or LG crosses some red lines.
A good cross platform user friendly client goes a long way, especially having a good desktop version.
All of the above, and I ran into some bugs in Datagrip that when I reported them I was blown off and gaslit in the response. The response to the bug report was something like “No one does things like this, and even if they did it isn’t important” MF, I DO IT, and it was important enough for me to report the bug! That was enough for me to not renew our licenses for our team when it was time to re-up.
I must be the only one that actively dislikes Jetbrains products.
I keep seeing these comments about Nvidia making shit fall apart for Linux, but I’ve been going strong for several years with Nvidia GPUs without problems. I also didn’t have any issues with AMD either mind you, but I have swapped GPU’s three times in this system: from Nvidia to AMD and back to Nvidia. I must have some great luck as I doubt these commenters are lying.
I know a guy that did exactly this. I am living vicariously through him.
