Same, bought 2x22TB enterprise HDDs for $260 each in May of last year. Even recertified ones now go for $650. Praying they don’t die

Honestly, I made the switch about 6 months ago and haven’t looked back once. The Jellyfin native Android TV app is a bit lacking, but I recently installed Wholpin and find it much better!

My only other gripe is that Plex allows you to set subtitle and audio language preferences per library while JF only allows one preference for the whole server. This is annoying for those of us enjoying foreign language films, where I often end up having to play with the settings every time I want to watch a foreign feature.

I’ve also heard that some people miss the syndication of Plex, where you have one account connected to many servers. I only connect to my own, so don’t know much about this.

This take is short-sighted. This same comment could be copy-pasted to 20 years ago when the first 1TB HDD was released. Of course it was stupid expensive. But now you would hardly glance at an HDD under 1TB. Technological progress is fast, and benefits consumers.

Infinity War was completely worth the hype. I wasn’t quite as enthralled with Endgame, but it wasn’t bad.

There are so many people who just don’t get tech though. I was just at my buddy’s patents house, probably early 60s, and they have a random default SSID and password. It’s like 15 digits long. Secure as can be. If they really bothered to type that in on all their devices, I’m thinking they were probably incapable of changing it through the software.

I mean that’s not really true. The new FTC chair literally got the position by writing a paper on why Amazon should be broken up, and has raised numerous cases to stop recent M&A activity. One Meta/FB acquisition of a VR company, the Microsoft Blizzard/Activision buyout, among others. They’ve been shut down a lot by the courts.

I fly paramotors. Imagine a fan you strap on your back, a paraglider that goes overhead, and you run run run until you’re airborne! Never fails to put a smile on my face when times are tough. And maintaining the engine and planning that next flight keeps me occupied when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
