We surely need people that care about truth and justice.
My day is just wrecked.
Chomsky was the last person I believed in.
I don’t believe he diddled… but his descriptions of hanging out with Epstein turn my stomach.
Happy Christmas Eve.
:-)
Is there a link to Chomsky commenting on any of this? I’m simply stunned. And I know the monster Epstein collected public figures and I agree that being collected by him is damning. But I’d still like to hear what Chomsky has to say about the image. Like… anything?
Beyond this seemingly damning image, what other evidence is there of Chomsky’s participation in miscreance and deviant behavior?

Study Spanish — or the language of your choice. Swahili. Whatever.

We all know he is a weasel. But honestly — if they open the door on making cars more simply, I’m in favor.

I think you mean their mandatory surveillance systems?

I’m reserved. Did you reserve?

We have entire generations demanding liberty to have things their own way… while allowing corporations to make all their choices regarding computing and transportation. Resist.

When they were first introduced, they we optional and choosing them cost extra. Over the years they were integrated into all models and everyone had to suddenly pay extra. Zero choice.

I’m sure others in the thread are having a tough time embracing that they agree with Crus a little on this.
Stop shoving shot down our throats. That’s what I want to say to car companies.
ZERO computers!
I want MANUAL WINDOWS!
Manual locks.
ZERO SCREENS!!
I drive the last car mass produced with manual windows and manual locks.
It has 150k miles. Runs great.
There is zero tracking agents on it.
It’s just a car.
I was thinking about this the other day. I don’t need a car that goes over 40mph. I could get to work and get home. A literal Model T would do.
We need to look backwards for common sense.

I’d say most folks at Lemmy are actively trying to grow the communities and the Community and so are genuinely welcoming and helpful.
I’d ask you to bring your friends and family. This might be controversial because Lemmy tends to attract amazingly talented tech geniuses — but others should be welcomed here as well.
I’m here to watch the corporate owned hegemonic control of all social media crumble— so I say we grow the Fediverse a great deal. Of course it’s not big enough to take the whole world but perhaps slow and regular growth will be met with the kind of independent commitment needed.
Anyway: WELCOME. Look. I wasn’t afraid of all caps. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m using Voyager — I’m a very superficial user but it gets the job done.
I checked out your zero original post profile and discovered you’re just a little rage bait bot. Cute. Keep undermining Lemmy. We will persevere.
Oh… and wanna know how a rage bait bot reveals itself? It has to have the last word. Hang in there.
I’ve tried to remain civil but since your dream job is “going shit for other people,” I agree we don’t have much in common. Yes — that’s a quote.
Allow me though to ask you to leave your ignorant, toxic, homophobic, ugliness at Reddit where they need people like you to undermine their efforts at community building.
First: we’re all here because we want to weaken the current corporate hegemony. So… yeah… down with big billionaires. You and I are on the same team. (Unless you don’t get the Orwell reference.)
So… I just want to get this straight.
Let’s say it takes X amount of work to support your needs. Your PB&Js and Captain Crunch… whatever it is.
So… In your world… let’s say you eat for free… whose precious calories get burned in the acquisition of the calories upon which you are sustained?
Touchy much?
I’m not the one complaining about the hours per week I work or my compensation… just saying…
Honestly— we’re just another organism on the planet.
Separate yourself from the system — a hatchet in the wild… and you’ll find you’ll still have to work. The native Americans had to hunt and build domeciles and make clothes… maybe farm… fish… it’s work all the way down to the first turtle.
PUBLISH ALL OF IT!!
