  • You’re like 20y late with this joke. MS runs their servers on linux nowdays.

They already have WSL and their own Linux distro.

Give them another 5 years and they’ll have rewritten their core to sit on top of unix and will have become a simple commercial linux distro. When buying a windows laptop you will be able to click through 5 yes/no promts, unlock the terminal and yum -S gnome-desktop to break free. No dual boot needed.

You know what’s the worst part? M$ will be the biggest contributor to the kernel. And that’s how linux will die.

  • BS. One new CD is at least 10$. A good band collection is then a year worth of subscription fees. So, do you only listen to a few bands?

Before Spotify I pirated everything. In lossless, ofc. I had 200GB of music, it wouldn’t fit on my ipod classic, and I still was limited.

I pirated at least a lifetime worth of Spotify premium and yet when I switched to Spotify I discovered so many more artists like the ones I already liked. If I now tried to buy all the songs I’ve listened to more than once in the last 5 years, I’d go bankrupt.

    Spotify is way cheaper.

(now add ease of discovering new music, listening to whatever your friends want to listen to in a car, collaborative playlists, etc etc)

  • OP blocked JS in the browser like a complete caveperson and came here whining.

FK u and your attitude OP. You, and those overly active pensioners is the reason laundry machines still operate on coins.

Your CC got blocked, call your bank and solve it. When everyone else goes to the laundry and doesn’t have the right coins they should do exactly what? Take a trip downtown to the bank? Your local cigarettes shop isn’t obligated to break you a 20.

Also, explain this to me: I barely use cash and my payments always work. Much less frequently I cannot pay for digital reasons than for “oh fk, I forgot to withdraw cash again”. I remember that being a weekly problem. Nowadays I can withdraw a 100 and not worry about cash for two months. What am I doing wrong that digital payments always work for me?

  • Because: 1) fairtrade, 2) less revenue from selling you a new device in two years once this one gets obsolete, 3) costs of long-term maintenance, 4) small volumes.

You ever compared a price of fairtrade coffee vs normal one? Yeah, x2. Why? No slave labor, no burned forests, sustainable water usage. But ofc, why would you buy it? It’s double the price.
