A lot of RPGs that I just don’t have the patience for anymore. Final Fantasy 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, Tactics. Vagrant Story. Breath of Fire. Legend of the Dragoon.

Still want to know why clicking the Terran Academy building plays and agonized scream
Ever play Sim Tower or Sim Copter? Never really hear about them but I remember them being so fun
Didn’t realize Tommy Lee Jones was bartending these days

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Americans, what do typically have for breakfast?
8·1 month agoNot sure if people just don’t eat cereal anymore, or they just don’t care to admit it. Love me some corn chex in particular. I’ll do toast and scrambled eggs and bacon if I’m feeling like taking the time though, sure.
Probably. I recently installed a bunch of packages so now I use emacs to check my RSS feeds, look up the current word’s definition or synonyms, browse Gopher and Gemini sites, check my email … I told myself I was doing it just for fun to see how much truth there was to the whole “emacs is a great operating system” joke but I genuinely love how handy it all is and I’m worried I’m going to keep falling in even deeper. A part of me does dislike not using purpose built programs for each of those functions (“do one thing and do it well”), but it’s been a fun experiment so far
This feels like a meme a vim user would make about emacs being bloated

You can also put a bedsheet over it and make a bubble house
Nobara had some issues updating correctly for me, but I haven’t seen anyone else express that
This is why I stopped using it. I could never find anyone else with the same issue or any advice on it either. Glad to find out it wasn’t just me after all
This is still my default. One day I’ll break the habit

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a really popular game franchise you just can't get into?
4·5 months agoI wanted so bad to enjoy this game, but I felt like it did not return the sentiment. The biggest challenge was trying to get Arthur to do what I actually wanted him to do.

2·5 months agoI tried this after seeing Action Retro use it a few times to see if he could make it work on older machines he was tinkering with. Love the old school/simpler FPS feel of it, and the lack of nonsense. Boot it up, play

3·5 months agoI’ve been playing a single ship only save this time around and it’s been a ton of fun. I allow myself to use fighters if a ship has a fighter bay, but no escorts (except mission NPCs of course).
I don’t know why but I absolutely love asteroid mining. It’s not like it’s deep or complex, but it just feels so satisfying somehow.

By hand. I find it relaxing and a good time to get lost in my thoughts or listen to audiobooks. It’s also nice to just have some things that you do manually. I don’t like the idea of a world where machines take care of everything.
