1·6 days agoI think if anything the appeal to me is to be able to jump ship on a number anytime I feel it’s too compromised, with minimal registration requirements-- I.E. personal information. For any communications that are more sensitive, I typically use encrypted mediums.

114·8 days agoWhen HuffPost asked the White House who chose the location for the meeting, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt replied, “Your mom did.”
I’m torn by this. On one hand she’s despicable, on the other hand such a well delivered, completely unexpected “your mom” really gets me.

This is an important part that the responses glossed over. The responders suddenly forgot that they were just recently sold down the river for this aim, and seem to think that it won’t continue.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What Was the Golden Era of Video Games?English
5·22 days agoVery early 2000’s. In the console we had PS2 and XBOX, which were both game changers. PC games also hit a really great stride, where we were seeing technological advances met with creativity.
I love mid-to-late 1990’s gaming from a nostalgia perspective, but I still think 2000’s were the golden era.

Kind-of sounding like you might be the sociopath.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•How do I block a community from showing up in "all"? [Solved]English
10·23 days agoAssuming you’re using the web UI
Settings -> Blocks tab -> Search for the instance in the “Blocked Instances” section
EDIT: Sorry, I misread and thought you meant a whole instance. But communities can be blocked in the same place, just a different section.

4·24 days agoYeah, that’s what I was lamenting. I want to add a third to my array, but stock is depleted everywhere and there’s no sign yet they will manufacture an updated model.

3·24 days agoIt really is a shame. I think right out the door being only 60hz probably hurt their adoption. But really, the ratio just doesn’t shine with your average, floating WM that most users are only accustomed to.

16·24 days agoThey’re for us dorks who like to like to chase efficiency in both screen real estate and keyboard navigation. A nice TWM combined with either a 21:9 or (my personal favorite) 16:18 ratio is pure bliss.

Oh, yeah, see… I’m so down with Lilith. One of my many character flaws is that I love mean, calculated women with librarian energy.
