Yeah, even with my disposable income, I don’t dispose of it indiscriminately. I try to get maximum value out of my fun.

My 1080ti’s retirement has been indefinitely postponed.

Just being a devil’s advocate here. If they are removing the spleen, it’s probably because there is something wrong with the spleen.
And I’ve seen splenomegaly cases where the spleen is bigger than the liver. Like almost twice as big.

Well first AI tech corporations need to do advertising that AIs can keep doing all this.

I think in terms of workers rights, China is rapidly coming up to the West in the 50s. There’s a massive growth in middle class as well as white collar jobs, especially in tech and engineering.
This has put pressure on society as a whole for much higher standards of living, and thus better wages and better rights. They are no longer the cheap ass labor country, that’s being exported to Africa and such.
Although the 996 culture is still insane, but I think that partly comes from the extreme competitive environment in the tech sector. There were similar stories years ago in the video game industry, and that probably hasn’t changed much.
If you take each trilogy as a set, sure.
But Empire and Return were both amazing films that one-upped the original.
And I think Clones was better than Phantom.
The final trilogy was a straight fucking cliff both by itself and in comparison to the other trilogies.

I honestly might switch to Linux. I know people say that a lot, but gaming has been the only thing keeping me on Windows.
But I’ve also come to realize I just don’t have that much free time to game any more. Most of my computer use is putting YouTube on in the background or web browsing. I still occasionally game, but Linux support keeps improving and even if I only pick Linux supported games… I still won’t have enough time to play them all.

The only “question” is why would you believe what Elon “promised” at any point?

Many portable batteries (i.e. campsite batteries) have a UPS mode and can be used that way. Much more expensive though.

Aren’t people basically already doing this? There are lots of people who only have their phone and maybe a tablet, and for basically everything that might actually require computing power (i.e. photo editing) they end up using a web app or something.

Nvidia definitely isn’t Enron. It’s all of Nvidia’s customers that are mini-Enrons.
Enron crashed because they were cooking their books and faking income, declaring potential profit where none existed.
That’s not Nvidia. Nvidia is selling actual product as fast as they can make it at whatever price they want to charge.
Nvidia’s customers, on the other hand, are the ones who have to justify buying billions of dollars of product from Nvidia and explaining how they plan to make a profit from that.

That’s far from the only problem…

Or the Taiwanese one, since all these companies are based in Taiwan

The stock can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.
I do love the idea of having a 10" tablet that fits into my pocket.
I’m still waiting for the tech to mature more, come down in price, and increase in durability though.

Hoo boy, bringing religion into a “false or exaggerated history” thread…

Technically you’re using it to buy a house, so I guess that qualifies as spending it?
But also because that’s the only way evil in the story can actually exist, and thus actually reflect the suffering and conflict in real life. The Triple-O God can’t exist, as evidenced by gestures at everything
Even if the Christian God was real, Omnibenevolence is the first characteristic to be dropped, as the Bible already depicts a cruel, wrathful, egotistical and petty God.
Price tags. In Euros or rubles. And signs in Polish, Swedish, Russian, etc. On all his furniture and appliances, possibly on each bedroom too
