Yup. Kind of like ThePrimeagen. And he always knows some other influencial/famous dev who does something cool. And he always showcases his sponsors’ products in a way that makes it seem like he just recently used it to great success in his latest project/own launched product. Like how tf do you have time to launch so many (unnamed/unmentioned) products??

15·3 days agoThat’s actually pretty close! Only one misplaced number. Causing a shift of three others of course, but still pretty good.
Why is it a problem that there are “bits” of light mode in the UI when switching from dark mode? You’d think you’d want all of the bits to be light mode then. Is that the issue, that not all bits are light mode?
Did they take away the ability to make servers?
No no, that would be crazy. It didn’t seem to even be a Nitro feature. You can just make a server for free, still.
I don’t use it for anything else than communication while gaming.
I just made my own server right when Discord came out and invited my friends. Very curated, only for us. I am also the lord of it, which is a bonus lol.

0·5 days agoIt didn’t run through prior, they dug it a few years ago. And it’s not just one person, it’s lots of people, but they live out in the woods where the neighbors are far between. Everyone should have fiber. That’s the motto/goal, since decades back. It shouldn’t be a matter of cost, having access to a stable internet connection is basically a human right at this point, like running water or electricity. At least considered to be where I live.
I take it this isn’t the case in America.
I also learned from TV, mainly Friends, Scrubs, Family Guy, and similar, with and without subtitles. Then had a gf/wife for twelve years who was native English speaking from across the pond.
I’m good with math and music, and such people tend to also pick up languages easily, or so I’ve understood. I would say I speak and write at a native level though thanks to being with that woman for so many years and communicating with her in English, and doing daily communication online in English for decades now.
Also having a curiosity where I look up words I don’t know, or when I see new words. And I’m interested in a lot of fields where there’s a lot of advanced lingo which also helps. People I listen to are well spoken and good with words, which inspires me.
So I guess all these things combined made me quite proficient. 🤷♂️
When do people ever do npm install if you don’t trust the project or know what install scripts will run? I’m a web developer of 10 years and I’ve never run npm install to install a piece of software. The only time I ever run npm is when I’m doing development for work.

2·5 days ago🤷♂️ My country also has some places with population density of about 1/km², and they have fiber. The cost might be prohibitive because of how much they charge/are allowed to charge? I dunno.

9·5 days agowonderful to live in the modern world.
It’s pretty great.
I’m really surprised to learn more as an adult how everything is so shitty in America. Like everything between public transportation, trains, mobile call voice quality, difficulty getting around anywhere without a car, (lack of) public healthcare, lower power from the electrical outlets, awful availability of quality foods, lower construction standards, expensive education, corruption built into the political system by design, the list just goes on.
My ex wife wanted me to move to America (she kinda grew up there). I was like nah bruh. Not gonna happen. And that was during the Obama administration, even. Things were even kinda looking up, from our perspective. 💀

This explains why French people are always speaking French in game chat in Rocket League as if French is the Lingua Franca lmfao so silly.
Every time they utilize the chat it’s also to be unprovokedly toxic which is another mystery. Maybe they’re just that unhappy? Something bad in the water?

I was talking about the release of the GameCube 😬
