The critique of fascism that is the Enclave, specifically in Fallout 2. As much as they are my favorite bad guy faction that is partially because of how well the critique works. They have the cool weapons, they have the style, and the have an awesome front man in the form of Frank Horrigan, but when it comes down to it they’re a bunch of weirdos hiding on an old oil rig clinging to ancient symbols while planning on commiting omnicide so they don’t have to actually work for anything.

Similarly the NCR is a great critique of liberalism in New Vegas, falling into the same pitfalls as the old world but with the potential to improve. For new world hope to bloom wherein the Enclave hold onto old world blues.

Probably, though as I noted the problem with such small nuclear arms isn’t their capacity but moreso their efficiency and consistency. A fusion bomb could help to amplify at least the capacity for destruction, assuming it can’t be circumnavigated through some technological fuckery, frankly I don’t think anyone can comment on fusion bombs with any degree of accuracy given that we haven’t figured out sustained fusion reactors.

It’s from the 50s but as I understand it nukes as we have them now require certain physical properties and dimensions to work with that being about as small as you can get. Anything smaller and the reaction either fizzles out, you get a dirty bomb, or the explosive yield is worse than traditional explosives of equivalent size. To make it any smaller you’d need a fusion bomb most likely.

I doubt we can remove the neurological component, let alone without it fucking up. Greed is an abstraction of our old survival instincts since as a general rule the tribe, clan, village or whatever would counter the worst effects. They’re a Millerite splinter not Mormon when the Millerites imploded after multiple failed predictions it created several new religions, the biggest two being being Jehovah’s witnesses and Seventh day advenentists. They came out of the same religious spring as the Mormons and Christian scientists for example but are more or less unrelated outside of being nominally Christian. Small EMPs are relatively easy to generate and if memory serves there was at least one test in the 90s that was basically an EMP generator that could be shoved into a moving van suck off the grid and then go off. There has been relatively little open research on this subject for obvious reasons.
