If you enjoy it then do it. Don’t do with for an idea that you “should”. Don’t burn yourself out.

Try to find new routes or go places you haven’t before. Maybe run an errand. Maybe try to study wildlife or plants around while running one to another.
For strength training IDK. just pop in some absurd music and know that later it will feel good either just post exercise or weeks later when the exercise itself feels nice. It’s also going to be nice when you go to lift a thing or hike and recognize you’re actually stronger. Always a rewarding feeling!
In either case, it’s important to reflect positively on your progress. "Hell yeah i can do this thing now thanks to my effort!“ and not negatively e.g. “my goals are so far away I’m so weak”.
untorquer@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are you most basic principles for life?2·2 months agoI have a set of values:
- Be social
- Seek autonomy
- Give solidarity
- Live in community
- Be healthy
- Have a clean home
- Work is to support other values, it’s not a value itself
And so on…
The choice i make is the one that aligns best with my values. If i have time to think that is. Otherwise my subconscious picks it’s own weights.
There’s a hierarchy to the values but they change in substance and position over time. That’s by design. Humans grow and change.
Circularity and contradiction? That’s fine. As long as it’s aligned with my values I know I’m unlikely to regret it.

I think it has a lot to do with how the show engages with emotions. It’s not meant to dig too deep. It’s supposed to be a sort of all ages work and it achieves that. I can totally see how people enjoy it btw. Not knocking it, it’s a really big accomplishment in its own right. It just lost my interest after a while. If it evolves beyond there, it wasn’t fast enough for me. Which is weird, because i usually like slow burns.

untorquer@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What popular TV show did not do it for you and you quit watching?2·2 months agoOne Piece - with One Pace i got through the alabasta arc. The characters all have good back stories and motivations. I mean it is well written, but with how the stakes and emotional depth are managed it just feels like a sit-com. I want to like it more, but i just don’t foresee myself throwing it on again.
untorquer@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What popular TV show did not do it for you and you quit watching?3·2 months agoMushoku Tensi - yeah agree on having a lot of trouble seeing past the perviness of the main character, and the narration is really annoying. I did like the depiction of combat though, rather unique for anime.
Averages. They’re almost always a bullshit flag if it’s tied to anything remotely political. If you’re not going to also give the standard deviation and skew then at least use median.

Using a reflective surface such as aluminum foil on the windows (shiny facing outside) will help. I’ve used contact spray adhesive on cardboard cut to size of window before. You can also get the bubble-wrap aluminum insulation.
