I realized it was causing a lot of anxiety for me. Easy quit after that because the reward was less anxiety after a few days.

I don’t get the stipulation. Using it to help community and fix the system would be using it for my own interest. I would be doing that for myself because i selfishly want to live in a better world. Furthermore, that would require i don’t pay taxes so it’s kind of a liability unless it’s permanently locked away in investments.
Maybe i keep that money invested to back debt so i can borrow and give the banks money away. 🤷

Iteration isn’t a claim that the predecessor was a failure though, you iterate on the successes of the prior generation. It used to be that technology advanced so rapidly that the cutting edge became obsolete in a matter of a few years, but for that time it was a success.
I think there’s also an assumption of design philosophy here. One designer might put many generalized requirements into their design, then you get Google glasses, AI, NFTs and so on. This means everything is a failure because it couldn’t achieve the requirements. Others may pick a small set of very specific requirements, then you get the iPhone or a Toyota hilux. These are massive successes because they had cohesion in the idea and planned as to about compromise.
I suppose it’s a lot easier to have fun when you’ve got some stability.
Yeah I don’t mean every model, make, and year is good but almost every house has one here where it’s -15C 3mo of the year and often -20C and below.
Heat pumps work great and are super common to install on homes where winter temps drop well below that. They’re so efficient they’re worth it even if you use supplemental heat for the coldest part of the year.
Andor was indeed great

They could have gone with a more contemplative “Look inward”.

I replaced meats with soy proteins and beans. It was fairly 1:1. Not a vegan diet but pretty easy depending on what’s available in your area.
I should learn how to make that cashew cheese…

FAA standard person is 170lbs/77kg. I’m sure the airlines use a better estimate though.

Micro economics: Price will reduce to maximize utilization
The world we know: reduction in cost means increased profits we can funnel directly into fuel for the CEO’S private jet and super yachts.
Carbon isn’t considered a cost by the wealthy and powerful.

Pharmaceuticals are life saving for people in various conditions whether thyroid issues, achieving a body that can exercise in the first place, or fast interdiction for diseases associated with excess body fat. But yeah i agree with your point if someone’s problem is their own choice in diet and exercise.
When you go off GLP-1s you generally gain all that weight back. So when they’re discussed in the context of saving airlines on fuel costs it’s not that far a leap from cynicism about pharmaceutical companies being pretty excited about rising popularity in a take-forever-drug.
Capitalism is so gross…
All trauma and people are different. I’m not prescribing anything.
When i was going through mine from a severe work accident i had to not just sit with the feeling and adrenaline waking up after watching meaningless gore-filled horror shows in my dreams but push into it. Feeling it as hard as i possibly could telling myself that I WANTED and NEEDED to feel it, trying my best to think about every detail of it. It was horrible to experience that, but in the moment i was focused on seeing my trauma and getting to know it.
It seemed the deeper into it i went the faster it receded over time. The worst of it, fits of adrenaline filled crippling anxiety, went from daily to null over 3 years. The wincing about the thought dulled over the following few. I settled at some point on just having a heightened internal sense of empathy. It’s probably why i avoid a lot of visual format social media.
I hope you find a method that works for you. You may not get back to your old normal but you can get to a normal where you can live life in whole again free from this pain.

They’ll claim it gave them probable cause.

Don’t forget about your French neighbors who have been looking to get one over on those ruffians.
Is it so hard to hold in your mind the concept that multiple countries may be evil?
Or are you just saying one is worse than the other? If so, why even? They both need dismantling.

Paying an engineer to fix bugs costs too much. Better make an AI and train it on our code so it can fix the bugs learn to make the bugs elsewhere too.

Are you mad? All those criminals would have to find other laws to break!
Rojava/DNAS has some good ideas.
I think there will be a sudden abundance when food waste is distributed instead of landfilled, housing is rent free and not locked away as an investment.
Most of the systems that make society function are already not profit motivated so most will continue to function in transition. We see this happen every natural disaster, the workers of a critical facility sticking through because their work is meaningful.
Won’t be totally comfortable but i disagree with the opinion it will be a death sentence for many.
