I dont think it does. The thing that annoys me about fd is that it uses regex as a default for patterns while I’m used to having glob as default everywhere else.
And yet they abandoned it.

I have used a windows vm at a previous job for a closed source IDE we were required to use. I’ve never used AutoCAD, so I’m afraid I can’t help you there.
At that point you might as well just use a windows VM for CAD. With desktop integration you hardly have to notice you’re using windows.

Maybe for you, but definitely not for everyone. I can use it if I have to, but I find it very annoying to deal with significant whitespace.
I’ve used it in India last month. Same experience, definitely will use it again on other trips.

In the Netherlands we have this app that could be used for it https://www.yivi.app/en it’s open-source, developed by an ngo in collaboration with a Dutch university. It’s not very widely used yet, but the idea behind it is really good.
Tbh, if Linux had the same user base as windows had back then a large amount of people would postpone any update indefinitely and we’d be in the same shit.
