there is a lot of native bamboo in all places, so it is resilient and a lot of the times the other stuff can only catch on if its provided a space. it can then go invasive… but thats not what youre talking about
i think a lot of it is just aesthetics and that people don’t like bamboo
some instances or communities will flat out ban you for almost nothing, just accept that there are bad actors participating in lemmy and don’t worry about blocking instances or users when you see it happening
after a bit you wont notice them and you will be better off for it
push the buttons!
you say that now but when the (checks current feelings are still, oh good) flames of (checks notebook on latest revisions, hahah stupid assholes) HELL are kissing your feet while a succubus sits on your face and… ok brb this is fuckin hot…
I have watched any of those except the first couple of Breaking Bad. It was too real for me so I just couldnt.
Entropy is a real monster that rarely is part of the forward thinker. It is great to understand it as a young person, it will make you a master of your trade when you reach the leadership spaces
it is a good thing to give someone a way out, even Sun Tzu suggested it
it lets people compromise, and that is what made america great
you thank your car?
whatever floats your boat but I think we both know you are just being contrarian now
why are you arguing that at me? I just argued that its not a human, AI is a tool and should be treated as such. If my tool sucks, I will tell it so and quit using it. If my tool is great, I will use it to the best of my ability and respect its functionality.
everyone else here is making scarecrow arguments because I just don’t think it needs to be anthropomorphized. The link speaks about “tens of millions of dollars” wasted on computing please and thank you
that is fucking stupid behavior
stupid fucking idiots…
if you have a family generational farm, best to remember what made it work back in the day and consider local crops because you ain’t sellin shit outside the country for the next few years
In IT the first problem/question should always this:
Is it a people problem or a technology problem?
IT can fix technology problems, managers need to fix people problems
if someone gives an IT person a people problem and they try to fix it, it will probably not go very well
same if you give a manager a technology problem and ask them to fix it
this is the most important lesson that leaders needs to understand
Management will take you further and give you many more and different doors to open
Computer Science will have a grind in it and maybe one day you make it big with something but it will require long hours and many difficult days and coworkers
thats just my perspective as a person who has been in IT for almost 30 years
those people who only see black and white are just as bad as MAGA, no doubt about it
but dont anthropomorphize your tools. And it’s odd when someone does.
I see people beat up their things all the time without getting upset
I don’t really care when someone smashes the door closed of their car
or smashes their keyboard in frustration or tosses a pen that doesn’t work right
Maybe you should learn about where electricity comes from, when the demand is too much for the standard power grid to fulfill?

the subreddit for my city has a post about this every so often, and that site is absolutely used to single out the places to avoid. Funny that Huffpost just got around to writing about it
