If you are a vassal (and - at least for now - we, the EU are) its better to appease your lord. A docile ruler is easier to topple than one who fears you plan something funny…

Fascist, Nazi… all those terms have long lost their meaning… today the only meaning those words transport are: “I don’t agree with this persons worldview”.

Hypothetical:

What about a fascist state that has a dictatorial leader and centralized autocracy that has the sole aim to move its people (and anybody else) to a ecological sustainable state. Perhaps the hypothetical fascist leader in this scenario has seen that the necessary steps to avoid climate based collapse (and so the end of modern society) can never be applied in a democracy and uses his (or her) dictatorial powers to form the world in this way? Militarism, furcible suppression of opposition and so on would be very handy in such a hypothetical “ecofascist” society.

As far as i can tell, yes, they are fanatics… but they want their realm on this world, not in some vague paradise in afterlife.

I think the best middle ground would be if all the guys (i somehow presume its mostly guys) in the net crying for military intervention, for invoking article 5 and so on would contemplate a bit more about how awful war is… and that a conflict with an enemy like russia - how weak they may be compared to its sovjet peak - will be much different from the conflicts the west has seen in the last ~30 years (not to mention the changes in technology).

Maybe campaign for more support for ukraine, maybe campaign for better support for your countries military… but if you call for actual war and you are a fighting age male: Be ready to enlist.

In case of nuclear war everything will burn to ashes, this is the reason why there will be no nuclear war.

Without the home front there wont be any weapons, ammo, rations, aso…

This is something i personaly see as a somewhat lame excuse… if you call for war, be ready to fight it.

German, spend quiet a few years in the german army and currently in reserve.
