Isn’t that somewhat the point of the federated system? Prevent censorship? Enable various points of view to have a platform? It’s somewhat up to the moderators of the groups and the community as a whole to determine what information is allowed on their local platforms.
On the internet, almost without fail, a few bad apples exist. And sometimes the bad apples really yell the loudest.
But not having an algorithm amplifying the bad apples is about the best we can hope for now.
Humans are always looking for a god in a machine, or a bush, in a cave, in the sky, in a tree… the ability to rationalize and see through difficult to explain situations has never been a human strong point.
How much of Linux is?
Yes, this is my company’s preferred solution.
There are a few other PDF editors that are cheaper, but they don’t have the same features. PDF seems like something that has outlived its purpose. There has to be other document formats that provide a similar or better experience and prevents alteration.
Went all through college with a thinkpad that only had the eraser. I still can’t use a typical touchpad.
I follow the idea that phones/tablets are an individual experience, while tv is a social experience (assuming everyone is in the same room) so my kid has minimal tablet time, except on really long car trips. But has perhaps more than I would like tv time. But we are in there as a family. It’s very difficult in todays world with so much individual experience coming from a device.
Nice to see DC++ getting new life.
I’m sure most corporations have agreements that prevent M$ from using this. Or M$ has to host all of its data gathering on azure government.

I remember walking around Berlin and a Gypsy lady was in one of the tourist areas with a small child. I was stopped in the area for about 15 minutes and I was watching the lady. She would pinch or coax the small child to cry or tear up while walking around asking for money. Saying things like she needs a doctor and the like. Disgusting.
Not really. But the FAA could use some improvement on privacy issues.

This just reminds me of my first experience with Linux in the late 90’s. Yes they had installers that got the base system working, but then you had to compile so much.
