Good, then it should die
Good, then it should die
Could you explain what you mean by that please?
What if we just called it betterreddit? Lol
Lempiebin?
I like that one, but it makes me think of agrivate or agriculture
Bulletinfedi?
Forumverse gets my vote out of the listed options.
I retrained myself in Dvorak many years back, and really enjoyed using it much better than QWERTY. I had to revert back to qwerty because of commercial standardizations/limitations at different workplaces, unfortunately.
All that to say that workman layout seems even better after reading that article. I don’t really see myself making the effort to switch again, but I enjoyed reading about it. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe I’m missing something. I understand and agree with the concept of limiting or eliminating our reliance on algorithms for content recommendations. This seems like a different issue though, is it not?
I wonder what’s the reasoning against it? Seems like a no-brainer…
Sanabi was incredible. Honestly though, this one doesn’t even seem close. However, it still looks interesting for sure. I’ll be keeping an eye on it. Thanks for the highlight
Right now I’d choose Lemmy. Summit on mobile and photon on desktop.
Piefed is a close second, but still has a ways to go. Honestly, I could see it surpassing Lemmy soon.
I haven’t driven Mbin too much, but it’s pretty neat conceptually. I wouldn’t count it out if you want to be able to microblog from the same platform. Kind of novel, but I found the experience to be disconjointed overall.
It’s great seeing intuitive uses of the software more regularly, thanks for sharing!
Both of us?
‘Join the club pal’
For those of us that aren’t attuned, what’s the real answer? Lol
Damn, less stress as an er tech doesn’t sound like something anyone should ever have to say
I wish this was a tool tip that could pop up (and be turned off too of course)
Not even borderline, completely over the line.
I’ve had some luck getting some of my people to switch over by asking them to switch as a favor to me specifically (if they want to of course… And they can always just not use it if they end up not liking it).
Asking them in a more direct way like this seems to work, even if there’s some reluctance at first. I tell them that it helps me out because I can also send stuff to them on my computer, which is true. Then there’s the fact that I just really like all of the extra features it has (it’s just a really good chat app in general), emoji replies, reply quotes, and read receipts to name a few.
If they need any other reasons, the last things I tend to get into are the privacy/security aspects.
Boom, all of a sudden they’re using something better, and even though they’re probably still using those other (shit) apps, at least I don’t have to. You have to start somewhere, right?
