Definitely! Zero proprietary software.
Close! Trisquel.
This is interesting because I’ve been having conversations about what operating system I recommend for the last 20+ years.
What does he not understand correctly here?
It’s extremely misleading to say “companies do not pay tariffs” and then immediately explain that companies do indeed pay tariffs.

31·7 months agoI don’t understand what these folks are saying. VirtualBox is community software. It does not matter that it comes from Oracle since it is fully libre/open.
I actually agree with this quote, but I don’t think it applies here. I don’t want ordinary people to suffer, including Trump voting lunatics. The difference here is that this guy is a public figure and probably rich. Let him eat the tariffs and get a job at McDonalds.

21·7 months agoYeah, this is super fucked up. I think that it would be powerful and completely reasonable to have the AI read actual words he wrote, like from old text messages, emails, or whatever. That is a legitimate way to bring someone to life—completely ethical if they wrote the material. This is a disgrace to justice and ridiculous.
That’s the only reason I upvoted this!

11·7 months agoOh that’s awesome! Did you use gObject I think it’s called? I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of object oriented C programming, but I’m not a developer and I never really got into it.
I started asking questions whenever some right winger would start in with the whole “here’s what you’re doing wrong” routine. “And you think this will help the far left succeed?” or “So you believe that’s the best way to get people to vote for the leftist candidate?” Just messing around since they are obviously not providing legitimate feedback.
I didn’t even realize I thought this, but reading your comment I definitely did.
I always really liked JavaScript, but I’m not a software developer. I guess that’s probably the difference between me and folks who actually need to write production code with it.
Is there anything out there that’s that literal?
Just change your company name to be [actual company name] dba AI Prompt Engineer College, call this a class, done.

61·8 months agoThe worst is making it about intelligence. Most of the time, the stuff that is “obvious” is not so obvious to most people. Being an arrogant fool about it only makes things worse.
People who say “you must be fun at parties” deserve a whole lot worse than prison.

I don’t think you should have been downvoted, but what is it you do? Remote monitoring? We deployed hundreds of monitors last summer and I swear I almost memorized the goddamn DisplayPort pinout.
