  • that reminds me a bit of the Polish incident with liberum veto. in theory a good thing - those who could vote all had an equal voice to stop any Sejm gathering they wanted. but the obvious thing happened obviously - lower ranking nobles were getting bribed by domestic and foreign forces alike to veto new legislations seconds before they got signed, wasting days if not weeks of work, and basically stopping Polish politics in place. Poland only got our shit together too little and too late, in 1791 we got our constitution that finally removed liberum veto, but the damage was done, two years later the Second Partition happened

and then Tor so high up, unless you’re hell bent on leaving 0 traces that thing is a pain to use, can’t have it maximalised, pages load sometimes minutes at a time, no addons, just suffering. nobody sane uses that thing for more than the occasional trip to whatever deep web market is not yet exit scamming

i don’t think valve does much with the data even internally. if they did at least the game recommending queue would be slightly accurate. instead i have to manually blacklist tags for it to stop showing me things i’m just deeply uninterested in. like yes Mr. Valve my steam library of RPGs, puzzle games, and open world sandboxes clearly profiles me as someone who’d be interested in the newest Fifa game every year, sure buddy

  • But overall, enforcement causes nearly half of users to stop searching for popular adult sites complying with laws and instead search for a noncompliant rival (48 percent) or virtual private network (VPN) services (34 percent), which are used to mask a location and circumvent age checks on preferred sites, the study found.

what a fucking surprise. now the teens only watch porn that is already skirting around laws just by virtue of existing. truly nobody could’ve ever imagined this would happen

jesus christ i’m so tired of stupid politicians

  • buddy, if you wanted a proper discussion maybe you shouldn’t have insulted me in every reply. at this point i’m replying for my personal amusement. you’re an ass who thinks themself better than others, a pedantic dickhead who thinks that if something doesn’t make sense to you then clearly it means the other person’s logic is flawed and they are stupid, and why ask for clarification if you can just call them an idiot?

why am i even wasting my time on talking to a common asshole, anyway bye

  • 💀 i care to be understood, and since we’re talking that’s clearly not an issue. i do not care if you like how i type. you can dislike things for no reason it’s fine, it’s not criminal to simply not like something, like how i dislike how you’re being rude to me right now

why are you insulting me over your dislike of how i choose to write words and form sentences? how is my logic at fault when i don’t capitalise “i” or use a comma instead of a full stop? i don’t lack the ability to write “properly”, this is a style i chose because i like it, because it’s the closest to how my thoughts flow and to me it’s aesthetically pleasing

  • i don’t have autocorrect on, i also don’t subscribe to the idea that there is a “correct” way to speak or write, languages are tools used for communication, if you can understand me without effort then i used the tool successfully

i do capitalise things when it matters, for various reasons; to make a sentence easier to read, to show respect, to avoid a word being confused for a typo. but overall i just like the look of small letters better
