I did a doubletake because I read the article like 12 hours ago about VeraCrypt’s dev getting locked out of their MS account, then could have sworn it wasn’t Wireguard that was affected.

the real Claude was the friends we made along the way

just in case you start aging backwards or something one year
I’m not sure how well Laser printers work with Sticker Paper, so you may have to look more into that. Brother makes great laser printers, so they have a lot of options there.
I own a Epson Ecotank printer and, while I haven’t actually gotten around to trying out sticker paper on it. I do like it. I have the ET-8550, which is the big one, but there are smaller, cheaper ones that need just Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink, as well as black only. If you’re using it often, it should be pretty reliable. The worst thing you can do with an inkjet printer is not use it, because the ink will dry up on the nozzles (and in the lines, in the case of an ink tank printer). I try to run a test print that uses all the inks at least once ever 2 weeks.
Only other thing to look out for, is that for some of the Ecotanks, the Black will be a pigment based ink, and the color will be a dye based ink, so make sure the sticker paper you choose matches the inks in the printer you choose.

“on some Lain shit” is the best description I’ve ever heard. And 100% true for Flan lmao

Remilia Scarlet lying about using Gentoo when you know she’s using a Linux Mint laptop that Sakuya gave her

I don’t really know the reason why 35 specifically. It’s been that way since the Constitution was written. Maybe they felt anyone under 35 couldn’t have had enough life experience to properly carry out the duties of office? As for why no max age limit, no clue there either

Jake Paul will be 35 in 2032, which i guess means he could run for president that year. Mr. Beast won’t be able to run till 2036.
Both of these are nightmare options

You show up to the camel show and your camel’s got a body kit, a lift kit, a wing, and 3 fake Nitrous bottles and assure the judges “yeah its stock”
Genshin and ZZZ have been running fine from the official installer in a Proton Prefix for years now. They use a different anticheat from the two Honkai games for some reason.

How much did the drone cost and how much does the fancy laser system cost to operate? In other words, how much taxpayer money was just wasted on this??

Performance Benchmarks (Validated) yup, 100% totally validated. It’s like when you buy something thats wayy too cheap for what it should be off of Temu and it shows up with a QC and Validation card that they clearly just print on a large sheet and cut down that says QC OK

Microsoft’s really been on that “I’ll do everything in my power to make number go up that isn’t making a better product” grind for a long time now yea

I just put the electrons into the transistors on my nvme drive by hand. No text editor needed

Using flowing sand in a thermal battery is interesting. They’re flowing cold sand through an electric heater to heat it up and store that heat, then flowing the hot sand as one of the fluids through a heat exchanger with whatever you’re actually trying to heat, whether its air or water or oil, and then storing the now cold sand to be reheated.
I guess if you have some way of concentrating and dumping industrial heat into the sand, that could replace the electric heater and let it run off of some existing industrial process

That’s a wonderful use for one lmao

A cheap Jeweler’s loupe from Amazon. It’s like a high magnification magnifying glass with a LED light built into it. I initially bought it to inspect my kitchen knives when I sharpen them, but it’s been useful for inspecting soldering work and other random little things.
Others have mentioned a powerbank and one of those multiport USB chargers. I’d second those as well, tho I guess they both can climb in price depending on if you need a lot of power capacity.

Boss: “Have you finished that new feature yet? The deadline’s coming up and the client is getting concerned” Lowly Mortal Programmer: “Sry, you’re gonna have to tell the client that Mercury is in retrograde at least until this time next Earth-year”

Wasn’t Marc Andreessen also involved in trying to buy a pile of land from farmers in Califonia to make some kind of weird “utopia” (read: nightmare) city there? What is with these guys and needing to control peoples lives?
I did mine earlier this week. Normally I do them in March, but time kinda got away from me this year. My parents still haven’t done theirs yet lol.
