Not always so hidden… Remembering I was on Frankfurt-Hahn airport, like last flight in, everything closed and shut off, except the TVs! All of them showing CGTN all night, for noone.

That is good, but I highly doubt that the socdems will do anything about the state of things, since they adopted similar language and politics.

It’s not that much of a surprise from the Swedish government. They collaborate and implement the politics of a party which considers you basically a foreign invader if you have two foreign born parents, a la the Replacement theory, and you are making the Swedish ethnicity impure. And yeah, I know replacement theory is commonly used to target non-whites and/or non-christians, but they produce replacement theory content where anyone with two foreign born parents are considered to replace Swedes (second generations are considered too, and they signal that they are worried about third generation impurities too). This is just Sweden now. Cruelty for anyone they consider impure.

I think this has existed as an intentional goal for a long time, albeit from another point of view. I’m thinking of like the piracy days of early 2000, then there was talk about how to lock down devices to prevent any sort of copying of media. The discussion sort of died when Spotify came. But I’m worrying that this development will trigger a reemergence of such a goal. As your self built computer will be more and more expensive, a new possibilty may open up to sell prebuilts that are more locked down. Similarly to how Android is moving from a more open device to a locked down one. HDMI forum locking down their protocols. This may become reality for your general purpose computer. Companies controlling compute and media streaming have a similar motive here, if they do set their mind to it to have this as a fully intentional goal… sigh
There is literally such a lemmy community, but it is not much of an actual community of people over there. From what I’ve read it is more or less one person who bans anyone who challenge their critique.
Shit, the linuxsucks community is gonna go wild over this!
https://expo.se/ is probably a good start. You can look for Markus Allard, the head of that party. He shares a podcast with Malcom Kyeyene. For example their article here, Swedish, talks about the close connections between these circles (albeit Allard and ÖbP is not the focus there) and white nationalism https://expo.se/fordjupning/det-varas-for-rod-nationalism/
The “Marxist” bit for ÖrP is like “Marx said that under capitalism wokers are alienatied cogs in a machine therefore we should have full control over the reproduction of none pure swedes, through mandatory birth control, so thay we can churn out cogs to the swedish industrial machine, just like Marx said”. That is the type of “Marxism” they talk about in their pod.

I feel like making ’90s-style t-shirts with ‘fix this code’ on the front and ‘this shirt is a munition’ on the back.”
This must be a reference to something specific… Anyone knows?

Exactly. Showed presentations for my students on it.

I used a laptop with no screen and no harddrive for a while, mainly for presentations during teaching. The laptop plus a usb with linux and the pdf on it, hook it up to the projector. Worked fine. I think I also stripped if from most of the ram.
Sorry for derailing… But what was the workaround? Was the issue they used Play Integrity API and you managed to circumvent it?
Pride (2014), maybe? So hard to pick one. But I do love this one. Two very different communities comming together and supporting each other in the worst of times. Filled with love and laughs.
Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners!
I was always “This movie is such a typical Terry Gilliam piece” thinking the book would be so different. But nope! Terry Gilliam was just the perfect match for that book.

Very subtle Hungary flag faced mascot.
Ah, thanks, that makes sense
What is the sequence suppose to illustrate?

While they are good for all the reasons stated in the article, “included in the rent” means electricity prices is a driving force for rent increases. Rent in Sweden is increasing very fast, much faster than salaries or economic growth. The government and their lobby organizations also want to move away from the current system where rents are negotiated with a renter organization, to “free” rents. Today landlords demand 9.4% increase, but are granted “only” 4.8%, and this protection will probably be gone soon.

Swedish television also said Swedish officers were sent too – possibly among other nations – under the official guise of a training exercise. This to force Sweden to become involved in the conflict if it were to take place.
I have been having this, but my interpretation has never been “transparent eyelids”, but I get what you mean. For me it’s just my normal doomscroll or reading something on my phone. It’s like my brain says ‘yeah, you need to sleep, I can give you the rest’ and then I get more of my feed, but it’s just made up. Then when I awake, I can see that I never continued scrolling.
