But I agree… Gentoo is not quite keeping up with a lot of details. Like experimenting with refind, dracut, efistubs, I felt I was in the dark a lot of the time. I ended up making very few mistakes, because the distro is very good at working for special cases even if all the details are not explained. Still my favourite distro.
If you do, their e-mails asking you to donate again are a bit weird and manipulative. Their subject lines are like “FIRSTNAME - I’ve had enough”, “Our final email” (got several of those), “It’s non-negotiable”.
EU seems to be like “you ASKED edge to be the default browser? This is unimaginable anti-competative behaviour!” towards windows, and then all like “you do you, apple, we good”.
Note that he is not sentenced for the burning itself exclusivley, but all the context of his actions. For example, in his “critique of islam” as he probably would put it, he generalize it to “arabs and africans” and he, according to the court, insulted a person present at his demo “based on skin color and ethnic background”. As I understand it, this was a big part of his demos; go to a segregated area, yell insults at non-white people to try and make them angry. This is also what seems he is, at least partly, sentenced for.

This story is so bonkers in Sweden. The Liberal party wanted this law. They have since then, together with the rest of the right tried to blame it on the greens. And when they joind the government now, in support by the far right, they basically said they can finally abolish this tax. They are such a joke party.
It was the Swedish social insurance agency with these parts of the recruitment process probably outsourced to the lowest bidder.
Not the interview itself, but… I had a personality test before the interview and it felt so fucked up. There were always two completely different statements of, at least to me, questionable morals. Like “I enjoy people’s envy of me having better things” and “In social situations, the conversation should only be about me”. Stuff like that, but not only egoistic statements. Then you had a single scale under the two statements which went from “describes me” to “describes me very well”, for both statements, no neutral option. Stated time was like 10 minutes, I took it like in an hour. An hour of having to think through if I should say that “not having sympathy for an abandoned dog describes me” because the other option was more horrible. Felt fucking traumatized after that.
It got me the interview, but not the job.

What does it mean to “open up” an operating system in this context? Do they mean something like the possibility to intall other OSes on their devices, or that the app stores needs to be more open? I’m guessing it does not mean they have to start open source:ing parts of the OS… or?
Installed ubuntu on an rpi and firefox there ran snap. Was not very usable. Everything was so slow. Forcing an install of the dep package was the only way to use it. Not very well thought through bu cannonical.

It’s not really surprising. Even the government agency that is supposed to monitor foreign misinformation in Sweden have participated in an interview with Epoch Times. That, and the politics of the current government makes it not not very surprising.
