I’d say even cheap Androids can last long: Samsung A series receive 4 OS updates and after updates are over, you can get a few more years with last supported OS until battery or app compatibility becomes a problem.
This still works, it is my only method of interaction with Teams
nevermind. the cache part of HDD won’t appear in task manager, it is transparent to the OS. But this HDD has only 8MB of cache, not really useful. Still it is very good if the HDD can stay responsive.
afaik Android System Intelligence and apps using that will not show the mic icon
It is actually Valve allowing or denying refunds, not the developer. When GTAV Online stopped working on Deck, some people with hundreds of playtime successfully refunded the game, iirc someone even refunded their Deck.

Some HDDs are “hybrid”: they have a sizable amount (~8-16 GB) of SSD storage that the drive firmware stores the most often accessed blocks, rest is accessed from usual spining rust. You may have that kind of HDD.

An SSD will make a huge difference
on a VM, I could boot windows from only 256MB RAM
Wine can run 32 bit apps on Catalina & newer with WoW64, only native 32 bit prefixes got busted. Ironically I had one such prefix on Mojave, now the Mac has only Linux but the OS + Wine prefix is backed up twice.
No you can’t, 1 version of Google Play is bundled with the system image and cannot be removed. But you can uninstall updates and disable it to remove the automatically updated copy of Google Play.
I was installing Linux on sb else’s PC, to skip the Bitlocker warning I had to boot Windows, use cmd to assign drive letters to recovery partitions and disable bitlocker on them, again from cmd. The owner was confused because they had disabled bitlocker on C: but got Bitlocker warning on Linux installer anyways, I was looking at stackoverflow threads to find the right commands right next to the owner because I hadn’t used Windows for years and forgot how to do things lol. Fun times.
Where I live Nvidia GPUs are insanely priced or nonexistent while AMD sans 9070 has decent prices, check AMD cards too.
For Firefox I want that because FF’s menu is not visible by default and imo FF looks weird with menu enabled because its titlebar becomes thick. Global menu looks natural.
