Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Russia’s new state dictionary calls authoritarianism the ‘most effective’ form of government and bans the word ‘ass’English
1·4 个月前I can see your logic, assuming dealing with a crisis on a whim implies an externally-induced emergency, not “difficult times for a country” directly self-induced by said authoritarism.

When running it for the projected lifespan costs more in energy than buying a new one and running that one instead. Depending on where you live, your LGA775 boxes could be about a to become obsolete, or are well over a decade past obsolescence.

Technology@lemmy.world•Mastodon says it doesn't 'have the means' to comply with age verification lawsEnglish
1·7 个月前Oh, it will work fine, as soon as it issues it’s first cert without any reference to the identity, it wouldn’t even be needed until it’s expiry. But it’s easier to just not build it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•With housing costs being at record highs, would you consider living in your car to save money on rent?
1·7 个月前Hell no, I would never own a car.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would you drive an extra 20 minutes (10 miles) to get the blizzard on the right?
1·7 个月前I wouldn’t drive 20 minutes for $1000, let alone a mockery of an icecream.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What linguistic constructions do you hate that no one else seems to mind?
2·9 个月前I have zero gripes with my mother tongue borrowing English words for new concepts. It might be the best thing it can do, second only to dying.
But every one in ten words it borrows the wrong form. “*What’s that board? That’s a surfing. How do I call the one riding it? Why, a surfinger, of course. *” “My sister sent me another reels-- pluralize what, reelss? Of course it’s reelss, you weirdo.” Makes me wanna scrape my eyes and ears out.

By repeatedly refusing to use 21th century package managers, of course.
Very first link in the popup claims there are none:
North Korea tours halted until further notice
Occasional immediately imprisoned idiot who dashed there out of stupidity. Tourists, plural. Find a difference.
On the other hand, there were people toured there, I remember I read some report from a photos-smuggling guy. Not sure whether that’s a yearly occasion or one that’s more like once a decade.
tourists
ahaha, that’s a good one
I already have the system package manager. Everything else that isn’t it doesn’t manage my system and is doomed to suck.

I take it you’re not the one triaging the subsequent slop. I am.
