Didn’t he say that he couldn’t have copied it, because then it would be good (as in, a microkernel)?

macOS is BSD Unix, which is known for longer and more in-depth man pages.
man man-pages tells writers to only include examples if it is complicated to piece together, otherwise just explain what man page you need to read before, e.g. understanding open(3) before read(3).
And the default GUI configs come with Firefox iirc!
“There’s no need to download a different browser”
bash: Sudo: command not foundAnd
rmwon’t work either, since you (probably) don’t have files named-andrf, and then it will complain that/is a directory. And even if we correct that, you forgot to pass--no-preserve-root.
If the parent was waiting on the child, it is notified of the exit status and the child dies immediately. ~ man exit(3)
USB-OTG should just have been named USB Power Bottom. That makes USB-Type-C the embodiment of a switch.
Very likely. Or, at least what the thread commenter meant. There’s other programs vulnerable to …/, but it’s mostly some kind of Application Firewall, one that inspects the message itself.
All hail the third temple OS!
Ahh, I found you, Toby Fox!

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•~~Non-DE WM OSGUIs~~ Standalone WMs are basically Gnome3 for neckbeards
4·15 days agoClient-side decorations. In most DEs and WMs, the compositor or the shell is responsible for the window border, Close button etc. On GNOME, the client (application) is expected to do all of that. There is a mechanism for a WM to request an app whether to draw CSD, and for the app to request SSD, but they don’t need to be implemented.

There are valid use cases for JS and AJAX, but they are few. HTML/CSS is great, and has gotten many new features that can replace JavaScript in the long run: Popovers,
commandforetc. One thing I am missing is opening arbitrary popovers on a long hover. For that, you still needmousemoveevent listeners.

1·28 days agoHow does Mastodon‘s „Open URL“ work then? It works with the URLs I get from Lemmy, so it does support some other software…

Well, now I know where that term comes from.
