The smartphone like gadgets and flash are not built to drive and live with every day.

I got a 32 gig (soldered) thinkpad in Mar 2025 for $1350 delivered. There was a glorious period of $80/tb nvme and $50/stick 16 gig dimms. I was fortunate enough to build some pretty beefy machines with microcenter and marketplace deals.
