Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How likely you believe that Fediverse could accomodate EU citizens if US big tech leave the EU?
31·9 months agoTotally agree. A lot of negative people here that will push away the average person. I’m talking about political fanatics of course. Maybe some subs need to create a no politics rule.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•The best thing you can do for the fediverse is just be kindEnglish
2711·10 months agoA big problem is too much politics, feels like politics is always brought up even in posts where it’s not the topic of discussion. Just look at this post. Then if someone disagrees with your view they’ll attack you and then they’ll claim they “are on the right side”. People have forgotten the golden rule.

That’s not true. Go to youtube and read the comments under any lofi video but that’s just one example. When Lemmy just started it was a place for people to escape the fanatics and now it’s becoming more toxic.
Go to any political post. Everyone is calling others names and it’s not productive at all.

Technology@lemmy.world•Senate passes TikTok ban bill, sending it to Biden, who has already committed to signing itEnglish
42·2 years agoNot this guy again. In my opinion they tell us small truths like CCP bad, etc. Which isn’t wrong but they’re concealing the true motivation. Why ban it now? Not two years ago? It’s because TikTok needs to be under better control for the upcoming election and in the future. We already know big tech all work in concert to conceal topics for the US.

Technology@lemmy.world•Senate passes TikTok ban bill, sending it to Biden, who has already committed to signing itEnglish
2446·2 years agoFrom what I know, certain special interests want TikTok under their control so they can censor certain topics. People keep saying this is happening because of CCP, etc. But I believe they want this platform “censored” before the elections. The other major players already play ball with censorship but TikTok caught them by surprise.
