1·7 days agoThanks, I’ll check that out. I read a book by him once about a weird endless bridge and the protagonist being essentially caught in dreams but tries to escape through psychoanalysis. Something like that. The other books are on my (long) list though

22·8 days agoSounds a lot like a license troll. Probably the specific court and potential violation of a law were picked with care. Perhaps they looked through valve’s terms in advance to find a loophole, design their own terms to exploit that etc.

Even and especially in those cases cryptocoins are a very bad idea. Just because it’s “a” solution doesn’t mean it’s a good one
I guess OP never applied for a job outside of software engineering? Other people have their own chain of pointless assessment centers and interviews with everyone to get that sweet rejection at the end.
