Wait really? My work truck uses Samsara, and it alerts me for not paying attention while I’m looking at the road at least once a week.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you rinse your plates and cutlery before putting them in the dishwasher?
3·4 months agoFrom what I understand, most dishwasher soap is enzymatic and so the little bits you’d be rinsing off actually help activate the soap and clean better. So it’s actually detrimental to rinse. So I’ve heard, anyway.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I have fuel from three weeks ago in 5-gallon containers - too late to add stabilizer or pour into a vehicle?
4·7 months agoI’m certainly no expert but it’s my understanding that it takes gas at minimum three to six months to go bad. Apparently high ethanol gas goes faster. But I think you’re probably fine to use it.
I hope I’m not blowing your mind when I tell you that you can grep .bash_history?
If my phone ever makes a single sound without me having pushed ‘play’ on some media, my first impulse is to throw it into traffic. I feel the same way about my computer.
One of those where you have to peel the label to read it, and it just goes on for like a foot.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you ever get phantom vibrations on your phone?
2·1 year agoI’ve got a thing in my drawer that’ll do that. Doesn’t take calls, though.
Oh good, I’m too old to be expected to understand wtf this new bit is.
I was just complaining to a friend that I think it’s fucking absurd that Messenger still doesn’t work with webp but I now have an ‘imagine’ button for making stupid ‘AI’ art.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest couple dispute you've ever had?
1·1 year agoI’ve not personally had the benefit of owning square plates, mostly as I think all my dishes have been second hand. That said, they would stand up in the dish drainer much better. No rolling around. You win lol

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest couple dispute you've ever had?
21·1 year agoSo this was part of a much bigger discussion and turned out in reality to be mostly due to some unaddressed mental health issues. But on the tail end of an argument, y’know when you’re starting to talk nice again and resolve things, I said something like it’s okay, sometimes you’re just a sad pancake. She burst into tears because she wanted to be a waffle. Hormones and mental health are wild, y’all.
Oh that’s so real. I’m like six years clean of opiates - it does get easier, but occasionally my veins get itchy when I get really stressed. Normally relationship stress.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you know when something is serious?
1·2 years agoI personally prefer to always poop naked. At home, at least.

I worked at an office, think call center full of 20 somethings. We had one kid who was nice and all but he always smelled like cat piss. To the point where he got the nickname catpiss. It turned out later that he was stuck living with his mother, who was a hoarder of things and cats, and there was nowhere for him to escape the smell. He moved out as soon as he could and stopped smelling like cat piss. We all rightfully felt like assholes.
Anyway here’s your friendly reminder to be kind.
