  • AI has the ability to revolutionise the industry in a way that it needs in order to survive - greatly reduce costs and greatly reduce production times.

Do you know what those words mean?

AI is being used as a force multiplier, and it’s being used as a force multiplier for evil. It’s being used to replace jobs, to put hundreds, thousands, and eventually millions of people out of work. At scale, it takes up more power than entire cities do, and the data centers and power station upgrades that it requires at that scale ends up with companies literally demolishing entire residential areas, forcing people out of their homes.

AI is not worth the trade-offs and the massive sacrifices required for it. It is destroying society.

  • Yes, definitely. I’m afraid that AI is going to keep advancing and companies will keep laying off even more employees then I get laid off and then I’m out of work and unable to find my next job. I’ve already been laid off once before and it already took me half a year to find a new job and that was even before the explosion of AI. I’m also afraid my shingles infection pain isn’t going to go away and I’m going to be stuck with long-term nerve pain, despite my relatively young age, because I started antivirals like 168 hours after onset of symptoms because I was almost misdiagnosed twice in a week.

Yes, plenty of things to be afraid of, I think that’s part of being an adult.

  • AI is very harmful to the environment, it destroys communities because of data centers, it killed the price of gaming and consumer computing, and it’s being used to layoff a shit ton of people.

I use AI daily for my job because it’s required, and I do use it outside of work too, but it’s too powerful, too dangerous, and I wish it didn’t exist. The way companies abuse it in the name of profit is too damaging for our world.

Well yeah, they say that data centers create jobs just so that it sounds like a good idea to people. Thankfully, people are starting to realize just how horrid data centers and AI is for the environment and daily life etc. I say that as someone who uses AI for work daily, and unfortunately I do find AI useful outside of work too…

So which part is unhealthy behaviour exactly? Calling them multiple times, or expecting that if you called them constantly they would report you for harassment?

Literally all you have done is throw around accusations, there’s zero chance you are speaking to me in good faith. All you have done is insult me and misrepresent what I am saying.

If you called an MP every single day, and they keep hanging up on you, do you really think there’s zero chance you would get reported for harassment?

The only person who said my week was bad is you, I actually had a great week, not that it’s any of your business? You’re literally just a stranger online, you’re trying to psychoanalyze me, and you’re failing at it.

Maybe you should be the one seeking help instead? It certainly seems like people don’t agree with you and they do seem to agree with me.

I’ve wasted enough time talking with you, I’m blocking you now.
