Ai sucks and is a waste of humanity’s resources. I hate how everything goes on buzzwords industry trends. This shit needs to stop and just focus on simplicity and reliability. We need to stop trying to sell new things every cycle

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People who tried La Croix, what is your opinion on it?
31·1 year agoIt sucks. Generic store seltzer is better.
Get off my lawn
Steam came out a while before hl2, but agree with everything else you said
Sure is. Block the tv from the internet. Get a Chromecast, use that instead
Start using the detail tab only and kill the actual image name. It will always kill it immediately. The first tab is a joke in task manager. In the ultra rare case it doesn’t for some really really crazy reason, tasklist / task kill by name or pid

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the worst video game you've ever played?
19·1 year agoMario is missing. Imagine being a young kid thinking this is Mario 3/4 (can’t remember where it fit in) and it’s a platformer not realizing it’s an educational game when you got it. What a pos, greatest let down of my life.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the oldest thing in your downloads directory and how old is it?
21·1 year agoI don’t have a downloads directory. The browsers I do use are set to ask for save file name every time (not always the same directory) and I delete everything when done using. The default dump everything to a garbage folder is not really a great idea
From the movie the jerk. It’s his dogs name

Technology@lemmy.world•Capacitive controls could be the cause of a spate of VW ID.4 crashesEnglish
152·2 years agoNot really at all. I believe your view is wrong. Just because you believe your high level of intellect makes it impossible for you, you may be forgetting the legion of morons and old people out there driving. Is 100% entirely possible someone could be turning a corner and accidentally does something to cause a distraction and run someone over because they instantly look down away from the road.
Regardless of the persons intelligence, it absolutely can and almost guaranteed has happened numerous times over humans driving careers. The button style just makes these situations easier to take place.
Edit - this isn’t a hit piece on EVs, touch capacitive controls suck in general in cars. Physical buttons are always better, easier to press and locate, and do what you need without drawing your attention from driving.

Technology@lemmy.world•Capacitive controls could be the cause of a spate of VW ID.4 crashesEnglish
10·2 years agoI mean they literally were talking about multiple ways. Someone could hit a stereo control and spike volume while turning the wheel which causes a huge break in concentration leading to an accident. That is absolutely possible and could be extremely dangerous in the right situation.

Technology@lemmy.world•LAPD warns residents after spike in burglaries using Wi-Fi jammers that disable security cameras, smart doorbellsEnglish
4·2 years agoI beg to differ not with that attitude. In most situations you can non permanently get a camera out a window or door without harming anything / risking deposit loss. Only where you have no windows near exit points and a windowless door. But even then you can still atleast have something internal to catch a break in (wired streaming to web).

1·2 years agoYes I agree with you that should be the case, that’s not what’s happening in reality. They are slowly closing off that option and it won’t be long till it could be gone. There’s no reason from their perspective it HAS to be there.

Ai is destroying our planet. Stop fucking using it.
