The Lemmy Orbital Bombardment, LOB’d for short.
One day it’ll make sense.

His face jas been plastered everywhere for the past week. My YouTube home page literally had 3-4 thumbnails of his face on every reload. Lemmy…X…news sites…massive exposure.
So yah…some random worker notices his face looks kind of similar while he’s dining at his favorite spot and bam. Don’t forget there was a $10k bounty, plenty of fast food workers might be itching to collect on something like that.
He probably figured once he was questioned about anything that they’d eventually get him so he prepared for that scenario. Or maybe this wasn’t even his last stop on his triple-D tour so he was still geared up.
We’ll see him in court. If he’s innocent then he make a pretty good argument and then we can decide whether to raise eyebrows but this all just seems Q-anon levels of silly right now.

$1-$2 month maybe: they want $7 which is close enough to a Hulu/Netflix subscription fee that you immediately realize it’s not tenable to subscribe to all the major news sites you read, so then you start needing to build a “top 5” in your head because that’s all you can reasonably budget and that’s either too much of a PITA for whatever article you’re trying to read or you realize Verge isn’t in that top 5 and move on
Casually ignore them and walk away.
Then I’m not in sight anymore I circle back around and follow them to their car, noting their plate number to I can pay a police buddy to get me an address. The I follow them to until I know where they work and what their job is.
Then I take on training and job experience that would make me a good manager for that type of work, and monitor job postings at their company until I see my opening, nail the interview, and become their boss.
At this point, they’ve likely moved on and forgotten who I am.
But I haven’t forgotten them.
I proceed to make their job miserable and impossible, until one day I call them into my office to explain that why need to let them go for poor performance. Then I lean way in, right up in their face, and say quietly “And, to be honest… I don’t like you.”
Then I quit and go back to my normal life. No sweat off my back.
And some Stallman memes for good measure
Not sure if anime fits your bill here but Mushi-shi is incredibly relaxing and even though i don’t really watch anime anymore it still jumps out to me when i think of chill/mellow/relaxing. Traveler investigating forest spirits and whatnot, soft Japanese music score, taps hard into those nature vibes, more of a rainy day relaxing though not really happy-chill.
I prefer how X orders them based on how much money you give to Elon Musk
What is the talk referenced in the thumbnail? I must watch, for science.
Imagine trying to sell cars and then pulling some shit like this
We can’t rely on the assholes running these site to ban pedophiles. They’d endorse a pedophile president if they thought it would give them less taxes/regulations.
This is a prudent move, we’ve only seen the very beginnings if the sorts of indoctrination and manipulation our kids might be subjected to.
Never thought I’d sound this way, but i can no longer ignore reality.
Even GitHub provides more sophisticated metrics
And they have so much time to shitpost on Xitter
No, completely hypocritical filings that argue completely opposite political stances depending on how favorable it is to them is a hallmark of everyone involved in this administration.
Some easy tasks involve pumping out mounds of code/commits, some tasks involve monumental amounts of inter-department cooperation or design discussions with open source communities online or at yearly conferences and result in relatively small amounts of code especially in terms of LOC/day.
This study purports to take this into account to some degree but i call bullshit. I can barely explain this level of nuance to anyone above my first-line manager everyone else is just like what’s taking so long can we throw an intern on it to speed things up? and its like sure… after you hire them full-time and spend the next couple years training them. Oh you want me to do it that too?
The whole tone of this “researcher” makes the bias so clear but I’m sure we’ll have all kinds of fancy new monitoring and lay-offs of good people thanks to these sorts of bullshit metrics.
If you want to know whether employees are a waste of space or not, hire good fucking managers that know what they are doing. If they farm that out to tools like this, it’s a good sign they don’t.
I use the exact same usb stick for my Ubuntu installs. 🤜
Palestinians commonly have to defend their home ownership to settlers claiming their land but i doubt blockchain would help even if it was around long enough to record such a thing. American Indians are another obvious case of “but it’s written right here …” where blockchain probably wouldn’t help.
At this point Musk might greet all your health-related updates with a 1000x boost of anti-vax nonsense from RFK Jr and an army of anti-vax bots spewing Nazi rhetoric, then you getting sued and your account banned if you suggest something “fishy” is happening
Fuck this absolute steaming pile of a website and the nutjob that smeared his shit all over it. No government agency should even think of using it for anything regarding public communications
Oh to be a young lad experiencing linux for the first time again
