I think the first problem is art is so broad we shouldn’t be making generalized sweeping statements. One piece of art might be made by someone and it is its own object, e.g. an unrelated painting of a landscape.Whatever that person has done doesn’t change what it is or what it represents. Perhaps that art doesn’t deserve to be shared or promoted in a way that benefits the artist though.

On the other hand, some art like a film that has so much of the artist in it, can’t stand on its own as much. It’s harder to separate them. It’s ok to enjoy the film but still not share or promote it in any way that benefits the artist. We should be ok with having mixed feelings about it.

As with complex topics, it’s really a grey area, there’s no 1 rule.

Wow you get to phone yours? We get an awful convoluted website where you have to type in all your details every time, including pointing on a diagram of a person where it hurts and explaining the problem. It takes forever to fill out and you submit it and then wait however long they want to triage you. Tbf if it’s fairly urgent they are fairly quick but it’s the worst experience when you’re sick.

Then maybe you get a phone call with a doctor who basically just tells you to wait and maybe they prescribe something which then the local pharmacy won’t have in stock. Contact your doctor again to get it changed to something else? Good luck! Many days later you get your prescription after you finish needing it.

A boolean value only needs 1 bit (on or off) for true or false. However the smallest bit of addressable memory is a byte (8 bits) hence 7 are technically wasted.

For low memory devices you could instead store 8 different Boolean values in one single byte by using bit masking instead

Nope, all in a teams meeting discussing something, topic diverges or becomes too complicated and is slowing the meeting. Manager says “let’s take this offline” or “we’ll discuss offline”. Keeps the meeting focused but I hate the phrase. It’s not offline because it’ll just be another teams meeting!

I guess it depends on the company, so far mine it’s just making more meetings but keeping the current one focused. I’m fine with that, just hate the expression because it only makes sense if the follow up meeting was in person but we’re all remote

Double clicking should just be something like “to go into more detail” or something. I get why it happens, easy and quick to say, i just find it so irritating.

Leadership at the company I work for started saying “let’s double click that” to mean let’s go into more detail on that topic. Hate it.

Also “let’s take this offline” which just means let’s have a different meeting about it, it’ll still be online because we’re all remote.
