Fingers crossed for a touchpad with physical buttons.

That’s okay, you can still install Linux on Apple computers 👍
Your can conjure them up quite easily.
You can mod almost everything in Dwarf Fortress, down to the shear strength of a single beard hair - but you can’t mod the threading :)
Was one of the records “Largest Dwarf Fortress Fort with a playable frame rate”?
Maybe “Smart people use garbage”?
“ability to freely express yourself” symbolized by a flame.
Should I be expressing myself with casual arson?
If you use the NewPipe android app to watch youtube, you can download directly from there, as video or audio, in a selection of formats.
The other reason for not liking Snaps is badly implemented sandboxing. Unless they’ve fixed it more recently, the Snap version of a program cannot see your USB stick, your printer, your scanner, ½ of your fonts, your 2nd internal hard drive, your custom plugins etc and it can’t connect to other software also installed on the computer.
There’s (to my knowledge) not currently an easy system to grant access to these things - whereas Flatpak, for instance, has Flatseal, which let’s you alter the permissions of all your Flatpak programs.
Perhaps if they’d launched Snaps with an android-like “would you like to give this program access to…” sort of thing, there’d be less of a problem.
There is of course a chance this has all been fixed since - but I’ve certainly not heard of it happening.
Though it’s probably technically social media, it’s very different from everything else at the moment (other than perhaps reddit).
I feel this is much more like an old forum. It’s pretty anonymous, you subscribe to things you like and want to hear more about. Comment if you like, lurk otherwise. Nobody’s interleaving my subscribed posts with “suggested” posts and adverts. Mainly, it’s small and probably almost nobody I know in real life uses it.
There’s currently no big corporate users, far-right news channels, “influencers” etc, just nice, safe “Cats, Dad Jokes, Star Trek Memes, Linux News”.
It’s a good point actually, I’d sort of assumed it was the other way round, for farts that sound like trumpets.
In English (UK), the word “Trump” means “fart”.
e.g. “Eurgh! It stinks of rotten eggs! Who’s trumped?”
“It smells bad in here. Has someone done a trump?”
“Oh god, would you please stop trumping!”
“Go out into the corridor if you need to trump”
Are Mac users compatible with normal sinks and water or do they need an adapter?
I think there’s definitely something in your line of thinking. In modern terms, there’s a lot retconning in the New Testament to make the books add up as a series. They spend the whole “intro” persuading you it follows a direct lineage over ~2000 years.
There’s some pretty wild “fan theories”. Some say it’s correcting the “errors”, “corruption of language over time” or “devil influence” of the older book, others say OT “YHWH” is not NT “God almighty”, but an unrelated angry local God.
They all claim “Newest is truest” - even the more controversial “later sequels”.
They’re fine with the Old Testament, it’s got plenty of treachery, rape, slavery and fraud cheered on by God, mixed in with smiting and destroying things that disagree with you.
They have a problem with the teachings of Christ in the New Testament, which is all a bit too “someone was different to me so I made friends with them and we ate together”.
Unfotunately, might not mean much to 99.925% of the world.
I’m not sure what the mascot would be. Perhaps a fence, dog poo, lager can or discarded mattress.
To a lot of laptop manufacturers, it certainly seems that way as of late - that’s why I’m ever hopeful that a modular laptop, such as the framework, might give us the option of how we want to control a mouse cursor.
