These emails — which I encourage you to look up — tell a dramatic story about how Google’s finance and advertising teams, led by Raghavan with the blessing of CEO Sundar Pichai, actively worked to make Google worse to make the company more money.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/04/24/naming-names/
It was a triumph for enshittification, a deliberate decision to make the product worse in order to make it more profitable, under the (correct) belief that the company’s exclusivity deals to provide search everywhere from Iphones and Samsungs to Mozilla would mean that the business would face no consequences for doing so.
They are literally destroying books. No, the library is not still there: https://www.techspot.com/news/113277-ai-firms-quietly-buying-destroying-millions-printed-books.html
Ah, that’s dumb. That whole area of the game had strong “Stop hitting yourself” vibes.
Ah yeah, I think that’s it. I was felt mad that I kept trying everything to avoid dropping phosphorous. They take away your agency, and force you to do a war crime. I’m guessing that later they call you out for being a bad person for doing that?
Can I ask why? That’s where I gave up, but I keep having trouble articulating why.
Life is Strange
The entire premise is that the protagonist can turn back time, and make different decisions.
Except for cut-scenes. As soon as a cut-scene hits, suddenly its “You aren’t able to rewind time right now”, with no narrative explanation. Like, I get that you didn’t want to program that part, but the entire premise is about rewinding time, to try different decisions. Now I’m stuck having made an arbitrary decision, because I thought I was going to be able to go back and pick differently.
I recently watched https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salò%2C_or_the_120_Days_of_Sodom
It was… interesting, but going for more “shock”, than actual substance.
It’s a fun movie, but it’s only for a selective taste. It’s also has a lot of very problematic scenes.
I literally posted articles explaining how he did the things you listed. I’m not sure how to make that any more clear.
(Also, I’m not a liberal.)
Then why are you supporting them, and fighting against people who are accurately pointing out that they are monsters?
You are free to view it that way, but it would be unreasonable to claim that is the only way to view it in light of the many differences I pointed out.
Yes, I am able to view it correctly. But it is not unreasonable, considering that you didn’t really highlight differences. You highlighted things that Biden also very much did, as evidenced above. From what I can see, the “many differences” means “he killed, tortured, raped, stole and genocided slightly less than Trump”.
…while not technically disproving any individual claim I made…
I love how libs constantly move the goalposts when presented with data.
You did provide several articles that, while not technically disproving any individual claim I made, make good points that the Biden admin is not entirely innocent on some of the topics related to the points I mentioned. Still, as I’ve probably said before, the difference in scale is important.
Yeah, it is important. While Trump is a 9/10 monster, Biden is only an 8/10 monster, who supports Trump, and helps him out with his projects.
Sure, heres a few of them. For future reference, there are these things called “Search engines” that let you find stuff that you don’t know about. You should try them out. But something tells me that you won’t do any research, and you likely won’t even look into these.

All the higher mammals learn by playing, by doing, by interacting. And indeed, the higher the mammal, the more of its life it spends in play to prepare itself for adulthood. So you can see, this active role of the mind is fundamental to the way we think. It’s wired into our brains.
It’s a really great speech, and a lot of it is about the failures of our educational system.
It means I have an old desktop in my closet, that I use to manage my own email. Here’s an example on what it takes to set it up: https://linuxvox.com/blog/install-and-configure-postfix-and-dovecot/
http://www.mutt.org/ is how I browse, manage, and send my email
Yes, it’s been very reliable. IME, the vast majority of people who complain about deliverability issues are spammersmarketers. They set up their own servers, send out a bunch of spamnewsletters, then complain that they get marked as spam. I don’t have much sympathy for them.
Of course, I’m not saying that it never happens to legitimate email, but IME, that is increasingly rare, especially after setting up DKIM, SPF, and the like.
It also gets better over time as your IP gains a better reputation.
I run my email out of my closet. Postfix/Dovecot, using Mutt as my client.
I only know this because of Archer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIWDVuHDpq0

Doctorow is awesome. He’s a great author too. I’d recommend https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walkaway_(Doctorow_novel) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Brother_(Doctorow_novel)
