Thanks for making me not the first person to mention slackware for once. I don’t have any beef with systemd. It’s just foreign to me. I installed slackware some time in the late 90s and found my life’s calling.

No. I’m about to change my number because I get so many spam calls and texts.
I took fell into the 7 million sites blocked trap!
Take an old PC or laptop out of the box-o-crap, install Ubuntu server, give it a fixed IP address, install pi hole with the one line command from their website, tell your regular PC that the laptop IP is your DNS server.
This is the easiest way to play around before rolling out to your whole network.
I haven’t installed it direct on my router. I used to have it running in a container on my little proxmox server (aka old PC repurposed). I really liked the interface.
Then I was practically gifted a really nice Asus router. I flashed merlin-wrt to it and read some guide on how to install a different ad blocker. It’s really good whatever it is. I haven’t had to touch it in months, and I never see an ad.
You and me both
I’ve been waiting a few weeks for my zima blade 7700 to ship. They’ve been out of stock.
This is the best advice. Heed it!
Same, except I bought the domain through namecheap
I use a microSD to usb adapter and have 2 spinning rust disks. So it’s /sdc for me, but i still always double check. Dd isn’t called the disk destroyer for nothing.
Plug your usb drive in and run lsblk to figure out which letter to use instead of x in /dev/sdx
sudo dd if=image.iso of=/dev/sdx bs=1M status=progress
EDIT: I totally didn’t read your request. This is not gui or Mac based, but it still might help someone.
I’ll probably finally get around to standing up an arr stack. RD is just too easy.
I was worried when I saw the news, but it’s had next to no impact on me. I think I only found 1 or 2 streams removed, but the 720p versions were still up.
Honestly, the service is worth it for me. I need the easiest process possible for my luddite wife and kindergartener’s Amazon fire tablet. I put my mom on the account too.
But for everything else, yarrrrr.
Disc failure is the verbatim I remember, but I’m glad they’re still around. My 2008 car has a 6 disc CD changer, and I have a few retro PCs which rely on CDs too. Yes, I know I can get adapters for CF cards and the like, but doing things the old way is the whole point.
I am hooked on the music.
Sorry, I meant the real life me, crippling audhd and all. But I’m also not a programmer.
Don’t current geothermal techniques trigger small earthquakes in the midwest and Ohio Valley?
You mean trolls?
