The primary difference here is where the power supply duties are performed. With USB PPS it can “outsource” the power supply tasks to the charger. When using “classic” fast charging (e.g. 5v / 2A) the phone has to handle all the voltage conversion internally, which adds heat to the device.
Sounds like it’s the standard 500mA USB charging. This is the slowest and oldest charging that exists. It’s telling you this in case you have a charger that supports faster charging but using an older cable, in which case it falls back to 5v / 500mA. You have to have a proper charger and cable to get the higher modes (e.g. USB-C PD).
There’s nothing harmful about this and is actually better for battery longevity as many others have stated. The notification is just informative in case you’re expecting faster charging. 5v / 500mA takes forever compared to modern charging standards.
Not that I’m sticking up for T-mo, but how is that crazy? I have a grandfathered plan with discounts and it was $100 a month (taxes & fees included) for 2 people years ago, and it was the cheapest of the major carriers.

I’d say world wars involve multiple major powers in full total war economy. We haven’t seen any major power do that since WW2 to my knowledge. Involvement of multiple nations does not make it a world war IMO, otherwise the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan count, among many others in history. There’s also not side conflicts occurring in all the colonial possessions like in the other world wars.

I use Firefox most of the time, but if I really need to stretch the battery life I’ll use Safari. It seems significantly faster and more power efficient than anything else I’ve used. If it had better plugin support, it’d be my daily driver. Can’t say I’ve ever had issues with it rendering a page.

The issue is how it’s being used. It’s not being used to detect cancer. It’s being used for “efficiency”, which means more patients being seen by fewer nurses. It’s furthering the goals of the business majors in hospital administration, not the nurses or doctors who are caring for the patient.

I specifically said to not swerve or jerk the wheel. I’m talking about a controlled movement a few feet to the side, safety permitting, to strike a glancing blow on the animal. Especially with a larger animal that is more likely to come through the windshield, this is important. You don’t need to hit any animal head on if you can safely avoid it. I’m talking about a slow, controlled movement while emergency braking, not a “twitch onto the shoulder” There’s nothing wrong with this, and I’d argue a glancing blow is better than hitting animals head on. A multitude of factors will play into “can you move over safely” such as available space, weather, hazards, etc. I don’t feel the instruction that you’re “supposed to hit them head on” is wise advice regardless. Maybe this was true before ABS, but steering while braking hard is something modern vehicles have little issue with.
